Chevy Suburban Sales Grow 9.4 Percent To 3,922 Units In February 2017

Chevrolet Suburban deliveries in the United States totaled 3,922 units in February 2017, an increase of 9.4 percent compared to 3,584 units sold in February 2016. These results include the SUV’s best February retail sales performance since 2008.

In the first two months of 2017, sales of the SUV have increased 39.4 percent to 9,556 units.

In Canada, the Suburban recorded 69 deliveries in February 2017, a decrease of 43.9 percent compared to February 2016. In the first two months of the year, Suburban sales totaled 123 units in Canada, a decrease of 54.3 percent compared to the first two months of 2016.

The GM Authority Take

The Suburban’s February performance follows the general market trend of growing SUV and SUV sales at the expense of other vehicles such as sedans. The movement is quite beneficial for General Motors, since trucks and SUVs based on the automaker’s K2 platform carry high or very high profit margins.

  1. Sounds like Suburbans are becoming hot sellers, especially in Honolulu, where even the Chevrolet dealerships are having a hard time keeping up with orders.
