Ivan-Tampi XIK Wide-Body C7 Corvette Kit Green Lit For Production

If you’re looking for a little more flare from the 2016 C7 Corvette Stingray, there are plenty companies that will be willing to give it the wide-body treatment. But, none of them look nearly as good as Ivan-Tampi’s interpretation.

The XIK wide-body kit debuted at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and, according to Corvette Blogger, the kit has been green lit for production.

Deliveries may be placed now, and Ivan-Tampi states only 100 units will be produced, each numbered and available with a certificate of authenticity.

The kit takes the standard C7 Corvette body and increased width by four-inches overall with separate panels doing the job through extensive use of carbon-fiber.

Pricing is not yet available, but you can head to the link here for more information.

  1. The front looks ok but something is not quite right where the door meets the rear quarters. It doesn’t blend well and appears too abrupt. Almost like those screw on style fender flares some are doing. Their website is no help trying to get a better view either. Forgiato seems to do a better job with molding the door to the rear quarters, IMHO.

  3. In some ways the car still looks relatively conservative as the openings on the hood and rear fenders look stock as it would have been interesting if the car looked more aggressive; but then again, Chevrolet spent a lot of time in the wind tunnel when they developed the Corvette and making changes is sometimes difficult unless you’re willing to spend time in a wind tunnel or have a supercomputer to tweak things.

  4. Not bad, Front end looks…interesting. Forgiato or GM (ZO6) does it better if you just want to enhance the already excellent lines of the C7. But I can’t deny that this is a welcome more “aggressive” treatment as far as widebody kits go.

  5. I have a C6 Grand Sport and of course it utilizes the Z06 Wide Body fenders and I think it looks great. This XIK wide body kit appears a bit over done to me. I particularly don’t like the “Smiley Face” front clip. It looks a little like a Fisker Carmen. I also don’t like the C7 Z06 because they widened the rear fenders but put a cheap looking band aid on the front fenders by adding a black plastic lip. Come on GM its a $100,000 car, if you’re going to widen the fenders do it right…band aids look cheap BECAUSE THEY ARE !!!

    1. What do you mean by doing it right on widening the fenders like band aids? all the parts in the XIK Wodebody Kit for the this C7 are all replacement parts not parts that you mold in the existing stock parts like Forgiato does and they are also made out of Carbon Fiber so it more durable than stock parts.

  6. Looks very close to the C7R Team Corvette LeMans racer.
