GM Foundation Donates Another $1 Million To Habitat For Humanity

The General Motors Foundation continues its philanthropic efforts with a fresh $1 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International in an effort to turn neighborhoods around in 12 U.S. cities. They are Arlington and Austin, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; Baltimore, Maryland; Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Detroit and Lansing, Michigan; Los Angeles, California; Nashville, Tennessee; New Orleans, Louisiana and Phoenix, Arizona.

In addition, a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe will be donated to the Union Beach EMS squad — one of the units that dealt directly with Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath.

The announcements were made during the 2013 Washington Auto Show.
