If the Sonic is too far out of your price range, Chevrolet is offering the little 2013 Spark LS in the United States for $12,995 plus delivery. For that, you get wheels, an 82.5-horse 1.2-liter Ecotec engine, a five-speed manual trans, 10 air bags (not sure where they all fit), air conditioning, power windows, OnStar, an auxiliary input jack and 15-inch alloys.
Step up to the Spark 1LT for $14,495 and things get more interesting. It’s on this trim level that Chevy MyLink becomes standard, along with Bluetooth, steering wheel audio controls, a USB port and Sirius XM Radio. There’s also the added convenience of power door locks, remote keyless entry, power mirrors, visor mirrors, cruise control and an alarm system.
For $15,795, the Spark 2LT will build on the 1LT package by adding its own set of 15-inch alloy wheels, a pair of fog lamps, silver painted roof rails (hey, look!), a chrome lift gate handle, chromed exhaust outlet and chromed beltline molding. There’s also body-colored lower rocker molding, and finally front and rear body-color sport fascias with unique front upper and lower grille inserts.
A 4-speed automatic transmission is available on all models for $925. The only other available options include an engine block heater for $75 and Black Granite paint for $195.

$13 grand? Holy moly!
I want to know if this is going to go down like the Geo or is this something that may stick around for a while? The look kinda cute and might be a great addition to my garage for those days when I need to do a lot of downtown parking. Do we know when they will be available at dealers?
The launch begins in May. They’re coming in from Korea.
SE, ru concerned about the price or excited; 3 models or price ranges seem excessive to me and almost 16,000 for a loaded model whoo pricey. There should be two models base for 11,500 and loaded for 13,500; done…
Just buy a sonic
MUCH TOO PRICY. If offering a third of a car, offer it at a third of price of full size. This little runabout should be selling for $7-8k.
Who says it’s a third of a car?
@jacksa Should automakers price cars like the market prices meat? By the pound, that is…
hell no cause then what happens to the trucks!! lol. no but i think this price is a little steep for the car but thats also considering the import prices. but do you need ten airbags in somethign that small? if they all go off do they completely fill the cabin or what. simalarily whats with the power windows in the base model drop that and loose a couple hundred off the price.
Alex Luft, That’s a great idea!
