2019 Chevrolet Corvette Powertrain

The 2019 Corvette is offered with three gasoline engines mated to two available transmissions.

2019 Chevrolet Corvette Engines

The 2019 Corvette offers the following three gasoline engines:

  • 6.2L LT1 naturally-aspirated V8 rated at two outputs:
    • 455 horsepower (339.3 kW) and 455 pound-feet (614.3 Nm) of torque – standard on Stingray models
    • 460 horsepower (343 kW) and 465 pound-feet (627.8 Nm) of torque – standard on Stingray Z51 models
    • 460 horsepower (343 kW) and 465 pound-feet (627.8 Nm) of torque – standard on Grand Sport models
  • 6.2L LT4 supercharged V8 rated at 650 horsepower (485 kW) and 650 pound-feet (881 Nm) of torque – standard on Z06 models
  • 6.2L LT5 supercharged V8 rated at 755 horsepower (563 kW) and 715 pound-feet (969,4 Nm) of torque – standard on ZR1 models

2019 Chevrolet Corvette Transmissions

The 2019 Corvette offers the following two transmissions:

  • Three variants of a 7-speed manual (MEX):
    • MEP with Active Rev Matching – standard on Stingray models
    • MEL with Active Rev Matching and performance ratios – standard on Stingray Z51 and Grand Sport models
    • MEK with Active Rev Matching performance, standard on Z06 and ZR1 models
  • 8-speed automatic (M5U) available on all models

2019 Chevrolet Corvette Drive Wheels

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette is available exclusively in rear-wheel-drive (RWD).

2019 Chevrolet Corvette Axle Ratios

The 2019 Chevy Corvette offers the following three rear axle ratios:

  • Two variants of the 3.42 ratio (GU6):
    • Limited slip – standard on Stingray models
    • Electronic limited slip (eLSD) – standard on all models except for the Stingray
  • 2.73 ratio (GU2) – available on Stingray Z51 and Grand Sport models with (M5U) 8-speed automatic transmission
  • 2.41 ratio (GXB) – available on Stingray, Z06 and ZR1 models with (M5U) 8-speed automatic transmission
