GMC Hummer EV Pickup With Body Damage: Photo Gallery

It’s hard to miss the GMC Hummer EV. This tough-and-tall off-roader has a commanding presence on the road, but, somehow, it looks as though someone still managed to back up into this particular example, given the body damage.

This particular example appears to be the GMC Hummer Edition 1, equipped with the Extreme Off-Road Package and finished in bright Interstellar White paint. This particular example also looks to be missing the factory fender flares, while the front end incorporates a few unpainted components as well. Up top is a roof-mounted light bar.

For those who may be unaware, the GMC Hummer Edition 1 is the range-topper in the new electric Hummer lineup, and features a three-motor powertrain capable of producing upwards of 1,000 horsepower. Elsewhere in the lineup, the EV3X is equipped with a three-motor powertrain with 800 horsepower, while the EV2X and EV2 are equipped with two-motor powertrains producing 625 horsepower.

As for the Extreme Off-Road Package, the content includes everything one might expect given the name, upgrading the exterior, interior, and drivetrain. Features include 18-inch black aluminum wheels with machined accents (RPO code RCS) wrapped in LT305/70R18 Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires (RPO code QMG), skid plates (RPO code NZZ) protecting the front differential, battery and rear differential, an electronically-locking front differential (RPO code G93), heavy-duty ball spline half shafts, a virtual electronic-locking rear differential (RPO code G94), forward and rearward underbody cameras (RPO code UXA), rubber flooring with rubber inserts (RPO code BG9), and Premium Floor Liners (RPO code BKD).

As for this particular electric Hummer, it’s unclear what caused the damage, but it appears as though someone simply simply backed into it – either that, or someone had a little too much fun while off-roading. Which raises an interesting point – given the GMC Hummer EV incorporates an integral body design, repairing the damage may not be as simple as taking off the box or even a panel of the box and swapping it for a new component. Indeed, it’ll be interesting to see how body damage repairs are done going forward for the GMC Hummer EV pickup.

    1. The haha is on you, lmao. This truck is a GM test mule so therefore this saying has absolutely nothing to do with it. That truck was destined for the shredder the moment it rolled off the production line.

  5. This was clearly preproduction or a mule. That’s why there are no fender flares. GM testers must have crashed it out testing or something.

  10. It has Manufacturer plates. It’s obviously a test mule and not a private owner’s vehicle. In a few months (or less) time that truck will look at lot worse than it does now, once it meets the shredder. Next time try a little harder. Nobody likes shoddy journalism.

  11. You can see it in the Hummer EV documentary just showed on the History channel. It’s around the 35 minute mark as a mule as I already mentioned.

  13. This was test mule vehicle owned by GM, not a customer vehicle. This was spotted at Windrock Park in Oak Ridge Tennessee on October 7th, 2021. I have photos if you are interested.
