A year and a half after confirming the GMC Hummer EV line for Mexico in March 2023, General Motors has just launched the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV in the Latin country.
The automaker’s Mexican subsidiary has finally launched the 2025 GMC Hummer EV lineup in Mexico’s domestic market, completing the model’s availability across North America and becoming the second ancillary market worldwide to receive them after the Middle East. Both the Hummer EV Pickup and the SUV variant are launching immediately as GMC’s new flagship models in the Mexican market.
“The arrival of the GMC Hummer EV in Mexico reflects our commitment to achieving a world with Zero Emissions, and represents another step in our electromobility strategy in the country,” said President and CEO of GM Mexico, Francisco Garza. “The off-road capabilities of this 100-percent electric GMC supertruck make it unique globally, as there is no similar vehicle on the market,” he added.
Representing the first all-electric vehicle in GMC history, the new 2025 GMC Hummer EV launches in Mexico exclusively in the 3X trim level for both body styles. As such, all 2025 Hummer EV Pickup and SUV units for the country are powered by three electric motors that develop 1,000 horsepower in the pickup and 830 horsepower in the SUV, along with a brutal 11,500 pound-feet of wheel torque.
The standard three-motor powertrain on the 2025 GMC Hummer EV is fed by a 24-module battery pack in the pickup and a 20-module battery pack in the SUV, offering a range of nearly 600 km and more than 500 km respectively on a full charge. All 2025 Hummer EV customers in Mexico will receive special benefits from the GMC EV Charging Program, including a 220V wall charger and a free charging voucher at more than 1,000 public charging points in the country.
The 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV are now available for sale at a network of 10 select GMC dealerships in Mexico – called the GMC Hummer EV Dealer Network, located in seven of the country’s major states. All stores are equipped with 150 kW DC fast chargers and are part of GM Mexico’s 36 EV dealerships that feature Level 3 charging stations, all equipped to provide technical support.
