Following the local introduction of the electrified Equinox alongside the Chevy Blazer EV in early September, General Motors has just announced the official arrival of the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV in Ecuador.
The company officially launched the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV in the Ecuadorian market as the brand’s new electric bet and becomes the first electric vehicle based on Chevrolet’s new-generation EV platform to land in the country. In fact, the arrival of the new 2025 Equinox in Ecuador occurred right at the same time as the launch of all-electric crossover in Brazil, representing the first countries in South America to offer it.
“The new Equinox EV redefines sustainable mobility with style and efficiency, moving towards technological evolution at the highest level,” said Product Manager at Chevrolet in Ecuador, Juan Fernando Muñoz. “With this new launch we reaffirm our commitment to making sustainable mobility accessible to more and more people, without compromising safety and functionality,” he added.
Just like in Brazil, the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV launched in Ecuador with a single, well-equipped dual-motor version that corresponds to the crossover’s LT trim offered in the U.S. market. As such, the 2025 Equinox for the Ecuadorian market comes standard with a full suite of technology, connectivity, and driver-assistance features that make it one of the most advanced EVs in the country.
However, some official spec values for the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV in Ecuador vary markedly from those announced in Brazil with the same GM eletric dual-motor AWD configuration and 85 kWh, 10-module battery pack. Total output is 288 horsepower and 451 Nm or 333 pound-feet of torque, while the advertised EV range is 653 km or 406 miles on a single charge according to the NEDC measurement cycle.
The 2025 Chevy Equinox EV is now available for sale at the official Chevrolet dealer network in Ecuador, where it stands out for offering the most complete list of technology and safety equipment in its class. The crossover can be chosen in one of five body colors and is backed by a warranty of up to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers (99,420 miles) for its battery. The price of the only version of the Equinox EV in Ecuador is $50,490 USD.
