Even with a rocky road ahead, the Buick Envision is proving itself to one very sweet ride. Recently, the crossover found itself in a whole new light, this time in the world of confectionery artistry. Amaury Guichon, a well-known French-Swiss pastry chef and chocolatier, has taken his talent for creating visually stunning, edible art and applied it to the Buick crossover. His latest creation? A life-sized chocolate replica of the 2024 Buick Envision ST wheel, and it’s nothing short of eye-popping.
Known for crafting hyper-realistic sculpture out of chocolate, Guichon has tackled everything from animals to tools to F1 cars. Now, Guichon has posted a video documenting how he created this inch-perfect Envision wheel, step by step.
Guichon starts by meticulously crafting the face of the wheel in layers, building up the complex design piece by piece. The wheel hub is next, with the pastry artist even hand-drilling a thread for the wheel studs, ensuring that every detail mirrors the real deal.
Next up is the tire. The chocolatier builds out the sidewalls before applying and smoothing the top of the tire. He also adds a tread pattern to the chocolate tire, showing off his incredible attention to detail. With the structure complete, the entire creation gets painted black, transforming the chocolate masterpiece into something indistinguishable from a real Envision ST wheel. There’s even an accurate center cap, complete with the new Buick Tri-Shield badging.
To finish off, Guichon humorously “mounts” his chocolate wheel onto an actual Buick Envision and drives off, offering a playful ending to this stunning dessert project.

As a reminder, the second-generation Envision was recently refreshed for the 2024 model year, with the list of updates including new styling. The real crossover (you know, the one you shouldn’t eat) is powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and rides on the GM E2 platform. Production takes place at the SAIC-GM Jinqiao plant in China.

Hmm, Looks good enough to eat! Wait…
Well, he’s certifiably insane…
If he is “certifiably insane” then Buddy Valastro is a lunatic. These custom cakes can be made for those who are willing to pay for it. For all you know, Buick paid him to do this as a PR stunt for marketing. GM is notorious for doing these random unconventional marketing ploys. I remember years ago I would get a random interactive popup ad on my TV for the Chevy Equinox.
That is excellent artistry!
I bet it smells insane when you do a burnout on a set of these.
Why?
Will they hold up better than some C7 vette wheels?
