General Motors has officially unveiled the refreshed, U.S.-spec 2024 Buick Envision, following up on last year’s preview. The refreshed 2024 Buick Envision features an updated exterior and a new interior, as well as a 30-inch diagonal infotainment screen and more standard safety features. In addition, all-wheel drive is now included as standard across the trim level lineup. The refreshed Envision will launch in North America this summer.
GM Authority has covered the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision extensively in the past, bringing you exclusive coverage on the crossover’s options and packages, paint options, safety features, and more. Now, General Motors has announced a bevy of official details.
Outside, we see a new exterior design, as previewed last year. The revisions include a new grille and a new front fascia, as well as a new Tri-Shield emblem and LED lighting, all of which take inspiration from the 2022 Buick Wildcat EV concept vehicle. New exterior colors include Calypso Blue Metallic and Smokey Amethyst Metallic.
Three trim levels will be offered – Preferred, ST, and Avenir. Preferred trims roll on 18-inch alloys as standard, while 20-inch wheels are included as standard on ST and Avenir, with the ST wheels presenting a Carbon Flash Metallic finish, and Avenir trims presenting a Pearl Nickel finish.
The new interior design is headlined by an all-new 30-inch diagonal screen, which Buick claims to be the largest in Envision’s vehicle class. The new screen stretches across the dash from the center console to the gauge cluster, offering customizability for navigation, vehicle information, audio, and more. The infotainment setup also includes Google Assistant and supports popular apps like Spotify. Interior color options include Garnet with Ebony accents, as well as Cool Gray with Slate Blue accents.
The 2024 Buick Envision also includes the most standard safety features of any Buick ever, such as Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicycle Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and more.
As for the greasy bits, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine is standard, doling out 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Buick’s Active Twin-Clutch all-wheel drive system is also included as standard across the range.
Look for the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision to hit dealers this summer.

2024 refresh launching in the summer? Why not make it a 2025?
That is a great looking crossover.
Gorgeous interior, wow
Beautiful refresh! Wish Buick had an SUV slotting between the Envision and the gynormous Enclave.
I don’t understand what has taken so long. At this point, skip the ’24 model year and call it a ’25. Ford ignored that advice with its ’23 Escapes, built way too many too fast in the 2nd half of the model year and now has a glut of unsold ’23 units. And they want sticker, LOL.
Not a fan of the black wheels, doesn’t sound like there is an option.
Good looking ride get rid of the black wheels and you will have a winner.
I agree that it looks like a nice interior, but that front fascia looks way too much like the Ford Escape from a few years ago. Definitely doesn’t look like a BUICK in my book!
Dislike the front end refresh and hate the blacked-out wheels. Making AWD standard is a big mistake, as most people in the USA don’t need it, and AWD significantly bumps up the price and hurts fuel effiicency compared to FWD. I do however like the interior colors of the 2024 model. If I were in the market for an Envision today, I’d snatch up a 2023 now with FWD. Better looking, better performing vehicle all around.
Still not sure about that front end. Will take some time to get used to the new Buick models with that front end. I like the ST Carbon Flash Metallic 20″ wheels. But if you don’t like black wheels you can consider the Avenir model with Pearl Nickel wheels.
What an ugly snout! Looks like a Ford Escape. So, they’ve eliminated the Essence trim. Now, you have to jump to the outrageously overpriced Avenir trim to get the features you want. May as well buy a fully equipped BMW X1 for less money with a better/longer warranty AND free scheduled maintenance for 3 years.
2021 Lease ends July 28. Already reserved my new 2024 Avenir? Why not a 2025? Not sure I understand this logic. I love my 2021 and now am forced to add AWD and Sunroof, but I lease so not a big deal.
I hope the new infotainment system is not so curved. That is my only complaint on the previous model. It is almost impossible for the passenger to do anything on the screen and the knobs and screen are at the driver’s reach only. The driver also has steering wheel controls, so give us passengers a break and let us change the volume and radio stations too!
Made in China, not for me!
Cause I’m sure you HAVE NOTHING in your house or on your back that was made in China? How about the computer or cell phone you’re typing on?
How bout you cannot buy a US made computer or cell phone? There are plenty of US built alternatives to the Envasion
Surprisingly, I actually think the new front end works best on this vehicle. Maybe it’s the sport trim that is making me like this much more than I expected. Would definitely be the model for me, just wish they could do something to bump up the HP and torque on this trim.
More? Have you driven one? OMG at hard acceleration it can easily get out of your hands! Scares the heck out of me sometimes and I have to back off the throttle.
If 228 hp and 258 torque scares you, I don’t know what to say.
My current V6 300hp 2015 Terrain is a yawn. To each their own, but I still think GM could have offered an upgraded engine for those they would be willing to pay for it. Or the same engine with a different tune to pull a little more out of it.
this is a sorry desighn
Love the looks of this vehicle and I would be interested if it had a hybrid option for better performance and gas mileage, and it would need Super Cruise. For close to $50K, the Avenir trim should include Super Cruise.
The lack of a hybrid option is a definite drawback, but not a stopper for most folks. 86’ing Super Cruise is a disappointment, but this vehicle is late enough to market already, and better to delete it than ship something flawed. Look for it on the ’25 or ’26.
i am glad some people don’t like the front end because that means GM has built something un-bland that generates strong opinions. If it were generic and featureless people would be squawking about that too.
My only concern is about that giant 30″ readout being legible in direct sunlight, during daytime ops. The Nissan I have now has a much smaller digital readout that is completely unreadable at midday.
At last!! It’s either this or the ’24 XT4 in Emerald Lake Metallic!
Wife has a ‘22 Avenir in the Cinnabar red. Looks good with the polished rims. It’s been a good vehicle and the fit/finish is really good. Everything about it is just a small step up, even when you close the hood and doors. If you’re sitting at a red light and you put the windows down it’s completely silent. No sound from the window tracks or motors. First time ever experiencing that. That new dash and layout is holys$@t nice. Huge improvement over the wife’s.
