A couple of months after introducing the country-exclusive Corvette Red Flame Series, General Motors has just launched a new special edition of the Chevy Corvette C8 in Japan called the Silver Flame Series.
The automaker’s Japanese subsidiary launched the new Chevy Corvette Silver Flame Series, a new limited edition of the eighth-generation model created exclusively for the domestic market of that country. The new Corvette Silver Flame Series is available with two unique exterior colors and both body styles starting from September 18th throughout the authorized Chevrolet dealer network in Japan.
The new Corvette Silver Flame Series is a limited to 40 units for the Japanese market with exclusive details and finishes that pay tribute to the 70th anniversary of the first-generation Corvette. In particular, the Corvette Silver Flame Series units feature a sterling silver engine cover inspired by the distinctive bright finish of the Corvette C1 engine, as well as chrome exterior emblems.
Additionally, the Chevy Corvette Silver Flame Series comes standard with an engine appearance package to enhance its key identity and distinctive presence compared to other Corvette variants. The Coupe has a visible carbon fiber accent panel surrounding the engine, while the Convertible has an engine bay panel with a transparent window allowing a glimpse of the engine when the top is in operation.
Notably, the new Chevy Corvette Silver Flame Series is the third limited-edition model of the iconic American sports car developed specifically for local customers to be launched in Japan this year. In March, the company introduced the Edition CERV I and Heritage Edition variants of the Corvette, followed by the Red Flame Series in early July.
The Chevy Corvette Silver Flame Series is now on sale in Japan, with 20 units available in Accelerate Yellow Metallic and 20 in Carbon Flash Metallic. In total, the limited edition includes 10 units for each of the four combinations available between Coupes and Convertibles. All models are shipped in right-hand drive from the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

When can I order a 2025 ZR1?
Wow, 40 units, why even bother?
And yet we still have constraints on options stateside, not to mention that carbon flash metallic exterior is not available stateside anymore, but you can get it in Japan. Whatever.
