Nearly two years after the redesigned midsize pickup global debut in the United States, General Motors has just officially launched the all-new 2024 Chevy Colorado in South Korea.
The automaker’s South Korean subsidiary announced the launch of the all-new 2024 Chevy Colorado in the Asian country’s domestic market, where the Colorado was first introduced in August 2019 as the first American midsize pickup truck to be sold in South Korea. As such, the redesigned 2024 Colorado arrives to continue the nameplate’s legacy and win over South Korean customers with its enhanced features.
“The Chevrolet Colorado is an icon of mid-sized American pickup trucks that has long been recognized in the global market for its best-in-class performance and marketability,” said Chief Marketing Officer of GM Korea, Myongok Yoon. “The all-new Colorado being launched in Korea is a completely new model that provides both outstanding off-road driving performance and comfortable on-road city driving as an authentic American premium pickup truck,” she added.
In particular, the all-new third-generation 2024 Chevy Colorado is launching in South Korea as a premium pickup truck targeting an emerging niche market in that country – representing an active lifestyle model for outdoor activities. Initially, the new 2024 Colorado hits the South Korean market in a single configuration with the Z71 trim level featuring many standard technology and safety features, including a Z71-X package equipped with various accessories such as off-road running boards and black Chevy emblems.
Mechanically, the 2024 Chevy Colorado for South Korea is equipped with the new 2.7L I4 L3B Turbo Max engine with an output of 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque coupled to the second-generation GM 8-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the 2024 Colorado Z71 comes standard with 4WD traction that allows for optimal on- and off-road driving performance, as well as a multi-mode driving system.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Colorado is now available for sale at official Chevrolet dealerships in South Korea, starting on July 15th of the pickup’s official launch in that country. Like the previous model, units of the new 2024 Colorado for the South Korean market are manufactured at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri and come to renew the brand’s range of imported vehicles. This is the price of the new 2024 Colorado in Korea:
- 2024 Colorado Z71: 72,790,000 won (about $56,630 USD at the current exchange rate)

I ordered my 2024 ZR2 Colorado back in Feb. Its been built since May and I’m still waiting for it to be shipped. And now the same plant that my ZR2 is sitting in has to now build Korean Colorados now?! Maybe they should worry about shipping out trucks that have been sitting in the factory lot for months before expanding into building trucks for different countries.
Welcome to the Colorado brothers
New Colorado will not be sold in Korea. The exchange rate is a problem, but the price has risen too much compared to existing vehicles.
I’ve been waited for New Colorado in korea for around an year and half.
