The 2025 Buick Enclave debuts the crossover’s latest third generation, complete with new styling, larger dimensions, a new cabin, and a new turbocharged engine. Despite the long list of changes, the 2025 Buick Enclave continues a tradition that began with the model’s 2022 refresh, namely differentiation between the various trim levels through distinctive taillight design elements. More specifically, the taillight designs of the Buick Enclave Avenir trims stand out from the rest of the lineup, offering a clear indication of the model’s luxury tiering while adding an extra layer of style and exclusivity.
For the 2022 model year, the Buick Enclave Avenir featured taillights with grey inner graphics that mixed silver and darker coloring, punctuated with a splash of red on the sides. This design contrasted sharply with the non-Avenir trims, which displayed more red in the lower graphics and silver in the upper parts, maintaining a consistent horizontal orientation linked by a silver trim piece. The visual impact of these lights was further enhanced when illuminated, shifting the color dynamics based on lighting conditions.
Fast forward to the all-new, third-generation 2025 Buick Enclave, and this attention to detail in taillight design is evident once again. The 2025 Enclave Avenir showcases taillights with more pronounced silver inner graphics around the sides, maintaining the model’s premium aesthetic. By contrast, the non-Avenir trims for 2025 incorporate more red in their inner graphics, adhering to a more traditional look, yet still falling in line with Buick’s modern design language.
Both the 2022 and 2025 model years emphasize a horizontal layout for the taillights, a design choice that enhances the vehicle’s overall visual width. The 2025 Enclave, meanwhile, takes cues from the Buick Wildcat EV concept in terms of overall styling direction, while also bringing significant updates such as a new cabin dominated by a massive 30-inch ultra-wide infotainment screen, included as standard. The 2025 Buck Enclave is also the first Buick to offer the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system.
Under the hood, you’ll find the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, while the GM C1 platform provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

I’m hating it way less than I did at first. The outgoing platform, however, is a tough act to follow.
Davey: Your probably hating it less because the first pics were always that red one with the terrible looking black plastic around the wheels and bottom. Now they keep showing pics of this better looking white Avenir. I’m sure that decision was made after they read the comments and were getting the negative feedback on the red one.
By far, imo, the very first generation Enclave was the best looking generation. It has been all downhill since then. I thoroughly disliked the 1st gen LaCrosse, loved the 2nd, next Gen was ok, but adored the last generation before discontinuation. I use the Lacrosse in this reply because it was the last attractive vehicle Buick produced. Our loss; China’s gain!
To me, there is something odd/off about this design. It looks really sharp most of the time, but there are 1 or 2 angles where you look at it and go “yikes”. It’s like a sudden moment of sobriety smacking your brain when you’ve got on the beer goggles at the bar.
Tony the Tiger: Your comment made me think of that episode of Seinfeld where Jerry met this “attractive” lady but in certain light or angles she would become really un-attractive. haha.
What’s happening or what I’ve noticed is this. The first images of this warmed over Toyota design were always the red one with all that awful black plastic around the bottom and wheels. IMO, they probably got enough grief for the looks and saw the many negative comments and have since been using this white Avenir trim which does look better although still a warmed over Toyota design.
the move to a turbo 4 cylinder is just awful, unless the 6 cylinder is an option. I detest big laptop screens which are intrusive, obnoxious, not needed, should remain in the dash. sounds like this vehicle is not on my list any longer, a shame.
“Tradition”?
When does the order period open for the 2025 enclave?
