Several options for the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV are currently unavailable to order, GM Authority has learned, and because they are under constraint, several packages which include these elements are also unavailable at the current time.
It is not presently known how long these 2024 Chevy Equinox EV options will remain unavailable, or which will become available again first.
Notably, all currently unavailable 2024 Chevy Equinox EV options are LPO-level or dealer-installed, with all factory-installed options still offered for ordering. The following options are among those that can’t be ordered for the time being, with associated packages also listed (relevant RPO codes shown in parentheses):
- Interior LED Footwell lighting (SIM)
- As a result, the Illumination Package (PCN) is also unavailable
- Cargo Security shade (VRS)
- As a result, the Cargo Convenience Package (PCW) is also unavailable
- Black illuminated front bowtie emblem (R88)
- As a result, the Black Illumination Package (PCL) is also unavailable
- Black roof cross rails (VQQ)
- As a result, the Lifestyle Package (PCM) is also unavailable
As previously revealed in a full GM Authority pricing breakdown, these standalone options and packages have varied availability across the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV trims, which include the 1LT, 2LT, 2RS, 3LT, and 3RS trim levels. Prices, with a $1,395 destination freight charge included, range from $34,995 for the FWD 1LT trim to $50,095 for the AWD 3RS.
Available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configuration, the Equinox EV offers a driving range of 319 miles with FWD and 285 miles with AWD. The longer FWD range gives the model a city fuel economy equivalent of 118 MPGe, a highway fuel economy equivalent of 98 MPGe, and a combined fuel economy equivalent of 107 MPGe. This makes the crossover marginally less efficient than the outgoing Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV.
The Chevy Equinox EV is supported by the GM BEV3 platform, with GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors handling motivation. Production is currently under way at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

It’s always something!!!
GM was a powerhouse of manufacturing expertise, and absolutely dominated every other automaker in the world. They had global reach and knew their respective markets. gm is a pipsqueak and cannot seem to get anything right. They squander every opportunity. It may be my perception, and other diehards may see it differently, but I cannot shake this feeling of dread. I come in here for GM news, and all there is to report is bad. I do not blame the site runners for this. It is what it is.
Government regulators took away vehicles that GM perfected after decades of honing. Legendary products including A, B, C, D, E and F bodies. Original RWD X bodies. C/K trucks and all their offshoots. They just could not be beat. Then, the worst happened. They bungled so many product downsizing and engineering challenges trying to comply with government regulations… and they never recovered. Look where we are today. How did we get here?
Ironic the Climate Paranoids are ruining our Life on Earth.
Who cares these options are nothing I would really want anyway. Wow I can’t live without a light up bowtie emblem or foot well lighting…lol 🤣 I do like the look the equinox EV though 👍
I ordered a 2LT in early May and the roof rails are available. I was able to include the Lifestyle package as a result. About the only thing now that isn’t available is the sunroof.
