Buick was ranked above average in the mass-market manufacturer segment of the most recent edition of the J.D. Power U.S. Website Evaluation Study, indicating that consumers are satisfied with the Tri-Shield brand’s website.
According to the J.D. Power U.S. Manufacturer 2024 Website Evaluation Study – Winter, Buick was ranked ninth overall with a score of 713 out of a possible 1,000 in the mass-market segment. This places the Tri-Shield brand between rivals Subaru and Toyota, which each earned a score of 714 and 709, respectively. In regard to GM’s other mass-market brands, GMC and Chevy ranked second and eleventh with scores of 727 and 706, respectively.
It’s worth noting that the segment average was 709, while Mitsubishi and Mini were placed towards the bottom of the list with scores of 689 and 670, respectively.
“Previously, car manufacturers had difficulties showcasing the technological specifications for their EVs in an easily digestible way for shoppers,” J.D. Power Digital Solutions Director Eric McCready claimed in a prepared statement. “Now, the tide has turned as the EV shopping experience has been elevated. Looking ahead, manufacturers that evenly distribute the focus and updates across all vehicle types will see higher satisfaction with vehicle shoppers.”
For background, the first rendition of this study was released in 1999, has been issued on a semi-annual basis since, and examines customer satisfaction while shopping for a new vehicle on automotive manufacturer websites. The latest version of the study is based on survey responses collected from 12,841 new-vehicle shoppers who indicate that they will be in the market for a new vehicle sometime in the next two years. For the Winter 2024 edition, responses were fielded between October 2023 and December 2023.
These responses were focused primarily on four key metrics. Listed in order of importance, these metrics include: information / content, visual appeal, navigation, and speed. The responses were then used to calculate an overall satisfaction score for each automotive manufacturer studied.

Buick’s website is improved, but I don’t like that they aren’t listing a Buick Envision with the 2024 models. The “2024” Envision, due late in the year with the new front end, etc. is only shown under “Future Vehicles.” (And by that time, I think it should be called “2025.”) Then, under “Future Vehicles,” there’s no mention of the Buick Electra E5, which has been confirmed as coming.
Buick, you will find us at or near the top in JD Power surveys.
JD Power rankings always favorite GM and domestics which opposite is true of CR and other agencies. I would trust Buick quality more than Ford, Jeep or many other brands
