The 2024 Buick Enclave represents the seventh year of the Tri-Shield’s second-generation three-row crossover, and introduces a few changes over the proceeding 2023 model. Now, GM Authority has compiled a full list 2024 Buick Enclave towing capacities in the following breakdown.
Before we begin, here’s a quick rundown on the 2024 Enclave’s powertrain lineup. The biggest Buick utility vehicle is powered exclusively by the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, which produces 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. This output is directed to the wheels via the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, with FWD standard and AWD optional. Finally, all models are equipped with a 3.49 axle ratio.
To further towing prowess, the Enclave can be optioned with the Trailering Package (RPO code V92), which includes the following (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Trailer Hitch
- Heavy-duty engine cooling system (V08)
- Hitch Guidance (CTT)
- Hitch Guidance with Hitch View (PZ8)
- Tow / Haul mode

As the table above shows, equipping the Enclave with the Trailering Package makes a huge difference in towing ratings, regardless of trim level or drivetrain configuration. Without the package, the 2024 Enclave can tow a maximum of 1,500 pounds. However, the maximum ratings – only achieved with the package – put the model at 5,000 pounds.
It’s worth noting that these figures are unchanged from 2023 Buick Enclave towing ratings.
As a reminder, the 2024 Enclave rides on the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, and production of the 2024 model kicked off in June 2023 at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan. The 2024 Enclave will represent the final model year of the second-gen Enclave before GM launches an all-new generation as the 2025 Buick Enclave.
