The 2023 Buick Enclave is the sixth model year for the second-generation crossover, introducing a few updates and changes as compared to the refreshed 2022 model-year vehicle. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the 2023 Buick Enclave towing capacities with the following spec breakdown.
Under the hood, the 2023 Buick Enclave features a single powerplant option, specifically the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine. Output is rated at a maximum of 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm, with the GM 9-speed automatic transmission on hand as the exclusive transmission option. Output is directed to either the front wheels as standard, or all four wheels as an optional upgrade. A 3.49 axle ratio is in place across the board.
Notably, the 2023 Buick Enclave is also offered with the Trailering Package, which is tagged with RPO code V92 and includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Trailer Hitch
- Heavy-duty engine cooling system (V08)
- Hitch Guidance (CTT)
- Hitch Guidance with Hitch View (PZ8)
- Tow / Haul mode
With all that covered, let’s check out the full list of 2023 Buick Enclave towing capacities:

Under the skin, the 2023 Buick Enclave rides on the GM C1 platform. As GM Authority covered previously, the start of regular production for the 2023 Buick Enclave began June 11th, 2022. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.
Updates compared to the 2022 model year include a new exterior paint list, with Quicksilver Metallic (paint code GAN) no longer available with the introduction of the 2023 model year. In its stead, the 2023 Buick Enclave offers Moonstone Gray Metallic (paint code GXD) as a replacement.

can someone at GM Authority please find out when GM is finally going to make a hybrid powertrain available for the Traverse/Enclave series of SUV’s?
I have been waiting years for this to buy one but it seems like they give very low priority to updating the powertrain in these otherwise attractive vehicles! If they could get the mpg ratings above 30 that would be great
I’m disabled and have a scooter lift on my Enclave. I understand that max tongue weight is 500 lbs. Is that correct?
