You’ll Soon Be Able To Drive The Cadillac V-Series.R In Forza Motorsport

Turn 10 Studios provided a closer look at the 2023 Cadillac V-Series.R race car featured in its Forza Motorsport video game at the June 11th, 2023 Xbox Games Showcase event as it revealed gameplay to the public in detail for the first time.

Now, GM Authority brings you new images of the in-game Cadillac V-Series.R beyond those shown on the game’s cover alongside the 2024 Chevy Corvette E-Ray, first unveiled in late May.

The new generation of the Forza video game series is intended to give players as realistic an experience as possible of driving the Cadillac V-Series.R and other powerful racing vehicles. Turn 10 Studios’ Creative Director of Forza Motorsport, Chris Esaki, described the game as “the most technically advanced and authentic racing game we’ve ever made.”

Turn 10 Studios designers worked with the Cadillac racing team to ensure the technical accuracy of the Cadillac V-Series.R as depicted in-game. The General’s engineers provided detailed performance data to the programmers so a faithful representation of the car’s capabilities appears in the Xbox version as well.

Along with high fidelity in matching real-world performance, the video game will also include real audio of the Cadillac V-Series.R engine in action. The game designers also had access to detailed photographic images of the V-Series.R to develop the virtual vehicle’s appearance. The same painstaking level of care went into recreating the Corvette E-Ray in-game.

The Cadillac V-Series.R has already competed at multiple venues in 2023, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The game enables players to take their in-game V-Series through precisely simulated game versions of these iconic tracks. The game will allow “performance enthusiasts around the world to experience Cadillac V-Series” according to Cadillac marketing manager Meagan Quinn.

The Cadillac V-Series.R is the third-generation model of a race car design that debuted 20 years ago. The car won at Laguna Seca and Sebring, which are also two of the 20 racetracks available for gameplay.

As a reminder, the Cadillac V-Series.R was jointly developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing, and Dallara. The race car is motivated by the naturally aspirated LMC55R 5.5L V8 engine paired with the LMDh common hybrid system. The engine develops 670 horsepower at maximum and is paired with a seven-speed sequential gearbox.
