They weren’t affordable before. Now this seals it.
I refer you to the “Mary’s Salary” article…
What happened to the dollar? 60 grand for a base suburban? To use a cliche, that’s 10k more than my house cost in ’78. Certainly not a working man’s hauler anymore. Wonder what the depreciation is?
How many price increases this year? Makin theses things less n less affordable for most folks😩👎
Yes. Let’s put more vehicles on lots that will sit and linger. Just what we all need.
I recently ordered a 2023 Yukon Denali. (I don’t believe that included this May price increase). If the 2023 Yukon’s also receives the price increase, I am assuming the dealer will charge me!
$300 on a 60k – 80k vehicle. If that’s a deal breaker maybe it was out reach for some people anyway. I agree that it’s sad that things just keep getting more and more expensive, but it’s the world we live in now. Have you gone out for dinner lately?
Or to the grocery store!
GM does not need to increase price . They should decrease the price down to half Price . cause I have a 2023 Chevy suburban. With a little over 2700 miles. And now I have to replace the engine. So I don’t know why they wanna put an increase on it when it’s a lemon. They need to scrap them and start over. It’s bad when you pay $99,000 for a vehicle and and I have to replace the engine under 2800 miles
Price increased justified the suburban’s are still very much in demand like crazy dealers are also charging Mark-ups. GM knows this and will profit off it .
GM reported an increase in the number sold and the average price per unit. People are still googling these up and the going price. It’s all the market will bear. One day sales may hit a wall if enough people are upside on their car loans, but we’ll see.
