SVE Announces 2023 Sport Edition Supercharged GMC Yukon

New Jersey-based tuning company Specialty Vehicle Engineering has released details on its supercharged tuning upgrade kits for the 2023 model-year GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL full-size SUVs.

SVE offers two separate supercharged tuning upgrade kits for the 2023 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. The less powerful of these two kits is intended for GMC Yukon and Yukon XL models equipped with the naturally aspirated 5.3L L84 V8 engine, rated at 700 horsepower, while the second kit is for 6.2L L87 V8 equipped examples of the full-size SUV, rated at 800 horsepower.

Both of these tuning upgrade packages include a blueprinted aluminum block, a computer-balanced rotating assembly, forged steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded cylinder heads, and a twin-screw style supercharger assembling. SVE says it will produce roughly 50 examples of these vehicles for the Yukon and Yukon XL mode lines for a complete production run of 100 units. The company says that if this was a series production vehicle, it would be the quickest 2023 model-year full-size SUV in the world.

Customers that order this tuning package for their GMC Yukon or Yukon XL can also order an optional leather seat trim package, which is available with black or gray upholstery with leather inserts in seven different colors. Models with this package will also have Sport Edition Supercharged logos embroidered on the headrests, as well as contrasting stitching. Model-specific alloy wheels and Sport Edition exterior badging complete the package.

Specialty Vehicle Engineering, previously known as Street Legal Performance, sells its vehicles exclusively through participating GM dealers. In addition to this new GMC Yukon and Yukon XL tuning program, SVE also offers tuned Yenko-branded Chevy Camaro and Chevy Silverado models.

  3. Being on my second supercharged Yukon, WHY? Simple answer, you need a reliable family vehicle and your wife wont let you buy a sports car. Both have been the best all around vehicles I’ve owned. You don’t buy these vehicles for gas mileage.

  4. My standerd Denali has plenty of power to get me in trouble. It gets up to speed just fine. If you have the money to buy the special one then that is good.

  7. Too late, I already have a “9 passenger Corvette.” I dropped a Whipple 2.9 on my 17 Suburban. Sure is fun to drive!

  8. Not seeing pricing anywhere on SVE’s website or in this post. Anyone got a ball park?

  9. Is this for a Gangbanger getaway car to outrun a police radio? Most Gangbangers flee and run from the vehicle once stopped. Fast and very agile males between the ages of 25 and 45. Can jump fences and cars when under police pursuit.

800 hp Yukon is not for the suburban family with kids.
