The online configurator tool for the 2023 Chevy Traverse has gone live on the American automaker’s website. The tool allows prospective buyers to equip the vehicle with different features and options and view a complete pricing summary, simplifying the process of shopping for a new GM vehicle.
The 2023 Chevy Traverse is largely unchanged from the recently overhauled 2022 model year. However, as GM Authority covered previously, the crossover will delete two paint colors previously offered for the 2022 model year, including Silver Ice Metallic (paint code GAN) and Cherry Red Tintcoat (paint code GSK). These two exterior colors have been replaced with two new hues, Radiant Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT) and Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD), which are visible on the two Traverse models in this article.
The three-row crossover continues with just a single engine option, GM’s naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm. The V6 engine connects to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive available. The nameplate continues to ride on the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, which is also shared with the 2018 and newer second-generation Buick Enclave, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township Assembly facility in Michigan.
As reported previously, the start of regular production for the 2023 Chevy Traverse was initially set to kick off on June 6th, 2022, however, that date was later pushed back to June 11th. Pricing for the 2023 model year starts at $35,315 including destination and freight for the entry-level LS model with front-wheel-drive.
