Callaway Cars is offering up a new set of rollers for the C8 Corvette, blessing the mid-engine sports car with a new look and significant weight savings.
For those readers who may be unaware, Callaway Cars is headquartered out of Old Lyme, Connecticut, and has made a name for itself designing, developing, and manufacturing high-performance components for a variety of cars, pickups, and SUVs, with a specialty in GM vehicles and in particular the Chevy Corvette.
Now, Callaway Cars is offering up these attractive new nine-spoke forged wheels for the C8 Corvette. The wheels feature an open design that will go a long way towards displaying whatever brake package lies underneath, and are available in a variety of finishes, with the example seen here done up in Matte Bronze. Further finishes include Ceramic Polished, Satin Black, Gloss Titanium, and Black Chrome PVD.
Wheel sizing is set at 19 inches by 9 inches in front, and 20 inches by 11.5 inches in the rear. Critically, the forged aluminum construction also provides considerable lightness, with the Callaway rollers cutting 26 pounds of rotational mass as compared to the original equipment.
Pricing for a set starts at $6,490, per the Callaway Cars website. The wheels also include custom lug nuts finished in either bright chrome of black chrome PVD, plus a set of carbon fiber center caps.

As for the greasy bits behind the cabin, the C8 Corvette Stingray is motivated by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which churns out 495 horsepower at 6,450 rpm and 470 pound-feet of torque at 5,150 rpm when equipped with the optional performance exhaust system. Output is sent to the rear wheels via the eight-speed dual-clutch M1L automatic transmission, while under the skin, the C8 rides on the GM Y2 architecture. Production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

Ok, literally, if I win the lottery and get a new Vette I am totally putting these on it!
I am not a big fan of introducing numerous colors on the car. My C8 is Elkhart Lake Blue with all Black Accents (Calipers, Boomerangs, Rims, Jake Hood Decal).
I would only do these rims if it complimented the car’s color.
I have a 2020 Elkhart Blue Vette and recently put on a set of Gold OZ wheels and get lots of compliments on how great the gold wheels look with the blue Vette. The majority of cars now have black wheels and having a contrasting color makes the wheels “pop” on the Vette. But I realize automotive tastes differ, so use the wheels you like.
Dang, I think I’ll go Rapid blue orElkhardt bluewith red interior.
Anything is better than the OEM wheels made available so far, but I think there are numerous better-looking (to me) options for similar cost. The wheels I like best on the c8 are those that have a similar design as the ‘19 ZR1…which I think were copies of Ferrari-styled wheels themselves.
Anyway, wheels are very subjective…I’ve not purchased several used cars over the years because the original wheels were not included with the car…I get that many ppl like to get back some of the expense, but I would always hold on to the originals.
I really liked the Spectra Gray, 5-Trident Spoke, Aluminum wheels (Q8T). If I didn’t like these wheels. I would have gone with Standard wheels with an aftermarket update later.
These look pretty easy to clean and are not too fussy
GM’s Self-destructing Wheels should always be replaced with after market…
It’s not just your life, its the life of the people you will crash into when the GM wheels fail that you will save; And they will.
The forged wheels are not only stronger but also lighter for the track. I will be at Mid-Ohio next weekend.
Hhmm,
The coffee car with these wheels.👍
2 tone neutral interior 🤤
