The mid-cycle refresh for the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro received a surprising amount of negative backlash. The automaker received so much feedback for the SS trim-level, in fact, that it was forced to rush a mild redesign to market to fix it. The redesigned front end for the non-SS models remained, however, as it did not elicit the same negative reaction as the black-painted SS fascia.
Marouane Bembli a well-known automotive digital sketch artist and YouTuber, thinks Chevy could have done with revisiting the front fascia for the non-SS models, as well. He recently fired up his computer and tried his hand at improving the contemporary look of the coupe, making it look a bit more like a vintage muscle car.
Bembli, otherwise known as The Sketch Monkey, says his design has “less nonsense,” and “more muscle,” thanks to its simpler design and throwback circular headlights. In addition to the redesign front end, his reimagined Camaro refresh also has black side skirts and black wheels with a brush metal lip. This rendering was based on a Chevrolet Camaro RS equipped with the optional 1LE Performance Package, which includes black 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, performance suspension components from the Camaro SS, a dual-mode exhaust, a black front splitter and rear blade spoiler and a satin black hood wrap, among other equipment.
While we can appreciate the throwback look of Bembli’s redesign, we think the modern-day look of the original is better suited to the current sixth-generation Camaro’s body shape. We’re not sure if the squared-off grille works with the sleek side profile of the car, but design is subjective, of course. This design reminds us a bit of the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 front fascia, though the lower intake is much smaller.
Let us know if this redesigned Camaro is a hit or miss by voting in the poll below. You can also watch as he designs his reimagine Camaro and explains his reasoning for some of his design choices in the video below, too.

Still too life in the past lane while simultaneously being really ugly.
The Camaro was a Corvette with a back seat. ..too late now but it should be designed to look the part and offer something different from the Mustang and Challenger aside from what is listed on the owner’should card.
The worst part is the Amaro will go electric most likely and will look like a 69 Camaro made out of Lego and wil, be even more pathetic than it is now
I think the front facia of the Camaro is fine, it competes with the Mustang, sales are down because it lags behind it’s competitors in the horse power game, take a look back the sixties and early seventies, the original ZL1,LT1 and the 302, the Camaro was very competitive so lts GM fault for the lack of sales PERIOD.
Mustang did great with the current modern, global design that must be luring younger demos who is a must for the segment.
The pony cars aren’t viewed as “cool” by anyone anymore aside from Boomers with younger consumers preferring BMW 3 Series to life in the past lane.
The new Muscle vehicles are Wranger, Bronco and (if it were cheaper) Hummer. This is where today’s kids play
GM gives up another market segment. They don’t care, Camaro dies the 2nd time. Sad. They better hope most buyers want these 25 or so new \
electric models in the next few years. Late to the Tesla party.
Best frontend for this gen Camaro
Better engineering and be more competitive in NASCAR. The Mustang’s have been winning which help sales.
I feel the nee Camaro frontend looks like the Mustang frontend.
Sorry…
The 2010 Camaro looked more retro than this, with a ’69 non RS type front end, & RS type ’68 tailites.
The mustang is Ford’s Corvette, I would love to see GM spend a bunch on r&d for the Camaro but it’s unlikely. I’d also like to see them bring back the chevelle and compete with the charger but that’s the past they need to look to the future and they’re far behind. Start building flying cars.
JR , I agree with you ,I believe that Gm should do some R&d on the Camaro making some change ,not big but stay sporty and giving it 2 extra doors ,Which can help stop ,complains of the blind spot . Give the Camaro a style like that of the Porsche Taycan , 4 door sporty sadden , with a Turbo V6 , the C 8 Corvette 6.2 V8 and the ZL1 Supercharge 6.2 .
Who knows, I’m thinking this will be a Malibu replacement then a Camaro replacement. The next Camaro IMO would probably get a little bigger to supplement rear passengers and share parts with it’s VSS-R counterparts.
Guest ,No I am not talking about front drive compact car , I am referring to Hot rear drive sport sadden , Like a Chevelle but more up to date , like the 2020 Porsche Taycan 4door sport sadden, It need to stop competing with the Mustang and go up a little in prestige and go up against BMW 330I , the Alfa Romeo Giulia and others in that class !
I never said fwd compact car. I said a rwd car to replace Malibu and Camaro has to stay in it’s current price range to justify it’s existence for bargain buyers. 3/4 Series competition from Camaro on sale already, it’s the ZL1.
Guestt, That would work too, but I want to save the Camaro name, plus If Chevy continues to race in NASCAR cup racing , it needs a Camaro or switch to Malibu , When NASCAR brings out the New race car in 2022 !
NASCAR is finished unless it goes electric
Maybe but not a big deal if they have to go electric, they should already have a electric series. Although if they’re finished so is NHRA, CART, Formula 1, etc?
I’m 62 and have had 67 68 and mid 70s camaros. Always wished GM would try to bring back 60s models with same body styles but modern mechanics and interior………..
The 2010 release was based on the 69 model as it still is the most sought after model year. The problem of trying to duplicate the original for a modern version needs to meet crash requirements. The first area that needs to be changed is the A pillar. It must be raked lower for front crash strength and that is just the start.
I know Ed has one but other than the recessed grill and headlights on the front end, it wasn’t as ’69’ as much as people say it is IMO. As mentioned above, it has more 67/68 taillights, not 69 at all. And the big one is it has round wheel wells like the 67/68 have. The 69 has squared off wheel wells. The interior doesn’t really match any of them though and none of them had the ridiculously high belt line. It’s kind of a mix up of a bunch of things really. I just think things really went downhill when they went to the beady eyed headlights and squished the tough muscle car front end down. The larger grill with the round headlights is what made the car look mean. I truly think this is why the Challenger still sells so well. The front end just looks tough and mean like a muscle car should. The full round headlights play the major part in that. That’s what gave the classics their iconic character.
GM, & more specifically Chevrolet, has lost it’s way with the design of the Camaro. Why is it lagging behind in sales compared to the Challenger & Mustang? Because NOTHING about the Camaro’s look screams retro. So what it’s “track focused”? Reintroduce the Z/28 badge & redesign the exterior to actually resemble a late 60’s/early 70’s model. Oh, and make it faster while you’re at it.
There is only one way that GM will blow dodge and Ford way out of the spectrum. That is bring back the 69′ body!! 100% identical too, no changing this or that. Exactly the same look from the outside and all the new interior bells and whistles. Oh and a manual would be nice too, not this paddle shift crap. If GM was to do this they wouldn’t be able to keep them on their lots. THIS IS WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT GM!!!!
Along with 1969 color pallet.
And 4bbI carbs , 3 speed auto, 8 mpg , drums brakes, lap seatbelts, an 8 track with Waylon Jennings songs all for $19,999…..
No Jimbobs in here remember the US is in a recession, CV19, changing markets to CUVs and trucks. The Mustang and Challenger sales are down also, so GM must copy that fail formula also?.
Camaro is dead last in its segment and losing share. Dead car walking.
Based on emotions?.
And I do agree with this guy. There’s no reason why gm couldn’t bring back the older bodies and sell them as new models. There’s no difference in people getting the old ones all redone and putting all new updated equipment on them. Then you’ve got a body that everyone loves. And a car that’s updated with all of the new computer equipment and whatever it needs to make it pass the EPA . Build old corvettes again. A new 57 impala. A new 61 impala bubble top. Now don’t you think that kind of stuff would sell? I know I would love to have one. There’s no reason why all American vehicles have to look like Japanese or foreign vehicles. Right now you can’t tell the difference until you get up to it and see what the name says. It’s ridiculous.
The camaro redesign fascia is a joke
The blazer is a joke
At least Ford got it right with the mustang and Bronco.
Sales plummeted???? The Camero was always a car the average guys could afford. GM said it would be affordable. If you want to sell them, adjust the price.
I own a 2019 camaro ss. I love it. The truth is that it is not a versile car, not a family car, not good on fuel , not easy to see out of, poor truck space and is expensive and really not easy to park.So why do. I love it? ,it hauls ass and chicks dig it.
I have a beautiful 1969 Camaro RS and my wife has a 2018 SS convertible with manual 6 speed.
The ‘69 garners more attention and “thumbs up” by a tenfold factor. The new ones just don’t have the same appeal and unless the top is down on the SS , it’s like driving inside a tank with horrific visibility. Camaro needs a refresh and it needs actual car enthusiasts to make that happen.
I agree it should be a bit smaller in da rear far as the body kit circle headlights even if they had to modify the grill and hood a Porsche front end similarities would be a change
I am another GM person. But I have to say that I personally have not liked anything about the latest camaro. It’s big and bulky. It’s hard to see out of the rear view mirrors. Now the corvette is a truly beautiful car. It just keeps getting better. I think you should have the design team on the corvette work with the camaro team and see if they could meet in the middle someplace on a design that would make people look at it and say damn. That’s a nice camaro. Because right now I don’t know very many people that actually like the looks of the one we have now. I wouldn’t buy one. Unless they change the looks. They won’t be around long. People are going for the older hot rod looks of the mustang and the challenger. And the barracuda if they do build that. The camaro is just not a good looking car for the money.
Why don’t chevy try to remake the monte carlo. But with a back wheel drive and V8 with a slightly new design to it.
Because no one would buy it.
Everytime l see a new Camero l just shake my head and smile knowing l made the right decision by buying a Challenger.
They need to do something different with the front end, we can all go back and forth on what we think looks better, but with the Camaro not being a popular seller obviously the looks aren’t cutting it. It’s not what ppl want.
#CamaroLover

Love the circle headlights remind me of 67to71 model
Both designs are insufficient. 67-69body and even yes, the famous 70 1/2 split bumper and real LS powerplants, you will have a better chance. If renderings are boring then the vehicle will be, as well. Stop following the Mustang and C8 design cues and get back to Camaro !
Time for GM and Chevy to throw the throwbacks back and sit down and design good looking MODERN vehicles with high build quality, good power, reasonable fuel economy at a decent price that are not torturous to drive on a daily basis. Is that too much to ask?
no more 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder muscle cars!! Can anyone agree that muscle cars weren’t build to accommodate the average person just for a daily ride without the scream of an american v8.
Without the sales of the 6 cylinder Camaros I don’t think GM justifies making it. I agree though it’s pretty much pointless, but I think buying one with an automatic is too.
chevy needs to bring the boxy style back along with trying to make the camaro aerodynamic. Love the circle headlights but when are they gonna bring back the 454 in the camaro? 👍🏼
…..an aerodynamic box?
Choose one or the other. You can’t have both.
They ruined the gen 5 when they got rid of the round headlights and squished the front end for the squinty eyed headlights. There was nothing about the car that looked muscle’ish, mean or tough after that. The gen 6 is just a proper sized gen 5 to me. Without the round headlights, it just doesn’t matter on that 60’s inspired body design. They should have used the Avista design for gen 6 instead and just gone forward. That was more gen 2’ish and looked killer as well. Lower belt line too so you didn’t sit in a bathtub.
Chevrolet has really gotten the shaft from GM when it comes to vehicle designs all around except for perhaps the Corvette. I figured GM would just take that away from Chevy and give it to the GM’c’ dealers at some point anyway as they wind Chevrolet down for good. Chevy once had the best looking trucks and cars in the business. Too bad what they’ve done to the once mighty Bowtie… That’s GM Corp though.
I BOUGHT A 2018 CAMARO RS CONVERTIBLE AND I LOVE IT…JUST WISH THAT IT CAME WITH A TURBO CHARGER FOR THE V6 JUST TO KEEP THE V8 GUYS QUIET…AS FOR THE GUY’S THAT HATE THE PADDLE SHIFTER YOU HAVE 3 CHOICES SHIFT WITH PADDLES OR CONSOLE SHIFTER OR JUST PUT IT IN DRIVE AND DON’T HAVE ANY FUN.
THE NEW 8 AND 10 SPEED AUTOMATICS ARE WAY FASTER SHIFTING THAN THE MANUAL…I LOVE MY CAR LOOKS BUT IT WOULD STILL BE NICE TO HAVE A 69 STYLE WITH HIDE AWAY HEADLIGHTS AND MAYBE 1000 HP…CAMAROLOVER69
As the owner of a 1969 Camaro Convertable I agree that the 2010 was the most original type design. I am currently creating a mild Restomod which will maintain most of the original look. My dilemma is whether to leave the bumpers chrome or paint to match the red body color.
I gave the 2010 camaro. I love that design. 1800 miles. I kept my last one which was 9 years old til the 10 came out. It looks mean. They are changing too much and taking away the cool look the 10 had.
I think the current Camaro is outstanding as far as looks and concept. As the owner of a 2019 ZL1 I can safely say that it Chevrolet put more effort into original quality, fit and finish, and was willing and or able to stand behind the sub par workmanship and poorly trained dealer service departments they may sell more cars.
I don’t like those round headlights. They look too big in proportion to the body. I like the current design. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion.
Camaro, dead car walking. GM has let the Camaro die while Dodge and Mustang prosper.
The new design sucks, leave the 2018 1le alone.
That looks horrible! Please… no more redesigning for you.
It’s time for GM to stop putting money on models that don’t sell. The Camaro is done, game over.
Tesla is worth 15 times more than GM with only 4 cars. NO MORE MONEY ON MONEY LOSING CARS OR GO BANKRUPT AGAIN. Capiche?
Let’s just say GM does something no one has ever done by actually remanufacturing a 1969 Camaro with all new technology the original body and all new powertrain. I know they can tool it. I would consider a hybrid system at this point though. Just to keep up with the times We have the technology to do it. I would not be surprised if that car would sell like hot cakes on a sunday morning after church!
GM is not going to invest in the Camaro on its deathbed. GM killed it by failing to update it while Charger, Challenger, and Mustang were taking over the segment. GM/Chevy stopped advertising and marketing the Camaro. It is over for Camaro.
BUTT UGLY
Butt ugly! I almost lost my lunch.
They are getting away from what the CAMARO was supposed to be. A muscle car. It’s getting to look like all the other car’s on the road. You need to put the Camaro back to the way it looked back in 1967. It doesn’t even look like a Camaro anymore from the front. Or for that fact the back eather. You started out to build a muscle car which you did in the beginning. Get rid of the ugly front end you put on that beautiful Camaro. Make the front look like a Camaro is supposed to look like. I know you want to keep up with the time’s but you are building this Camaro all wrong. Make the rear end look like a Camaro. Step back and look at what you did to this once iconic car. You have destroyed what a Camaro is supposed to be. An American Muscle Car. One of the Best car’s there ever was. This Camaro is GM. Don’t destroyed it. Build the Camaro the way the Camaro was built. With today’s technology. Design the front end so it looks like the Camaro of the 1967 1968. Get rid of that big front end. Make it the way GM knows how to do. It started out to be An AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR SO Make it a MUSCLE CAR. I grew up driving a 1967 Camaro SS 327 the badest and fastest AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR On the road.
Dodge and Mustang now own the American muscle car market. Camaro is doomed, maybe 2-3 more years before GM folds up the Camaro tent. Sad because just like Cadillac was mismanaged for years, Chevy/GM let Camaro lag behind its competitors and now it is too expensive and too late to catch up.
Tesla runs circles around Mustang and Dodge. The new muscle car is electric.
Ford just set the bar with the E-Mustang. The next vehicle will be the E-Camaro with more room at the back seats (batteries under it) with a set of rear doors and able to go 0-60 in 3 seconds.
The E-Mustang is a copy of the Tesla Model y with Mustang lights on it. Whe shall see how they compare when the Ford is out.
I own a 2011 2ss convertible and I really don’t see a reason to get another camaro after it, especially with these designs
Don’t think the front end is the problem with six gen sales,
Maybe take the omega platform shorten the wheelbase and use that for 7th gen and share platform with 4 door chevelle? This would make a world class chassis for a more practical camaro. Not sure it’s possible or cost effective with the omega platform
No. You don’t invest a billion $ in a niche car with abysmal sales. All GM money is going to electrics or the company will get steamrolled. THE CHINESE ARE COMING AND THEY ARE ARMED TO THE TEETH. THEIR GOAL IS TO LEAPFROG TRADITIONAL BRANDS.
not a camaro anymore. just another cookie cutter car .GM ,you f d it all up
This is what you get with too much Chinese influence. GM wake up. Design American, build American, buy American.
In a few years, the Chinese auto market will be double the one in the US. They will dictate what gets built and it already started. Just look at Cadillac which are built to Chinese specs.
Are you learning Chinese?
I don’t understand what people find bad about the design of the 6th gen Camaro. I think it is a beautiful and well-designed car. Each design belongs to its era. People should stop comparing it with the original Camaro, different times, different centuries. Car designs evolve and adapt, the same as clothing designs. The Camaro has always been more of a pony car than a muscle car, although the current Camaro is more powerful than any of its predecessors.
Oscar Jr, you are right. Everyone should look at the Facebook group “Camaro’s of Central Florida”. It is mostly the young people and especially women just love this vehicle. No one complains, everyone likes to show off their vehicles, what modifications they’ve done and some can’t wait to upgrade from a G5 to a G6. Then a few show off there original Camaro’s and all in between. It’s just not retirees as myself showing off their toys. 😎
Having grown up with the original Camaro in the ’60s, I’m not much impressed with the new car. It’s way too big and only barely resembles the original car. I’ve been a gm enthusiast my whole life, including decades of drag racing, but I have to say that Ford with the mustang has done a tremendous job of replicating the original mustang and integrating it into today’s muscle car lineup. Unfortunately if I was in the market, I would buy a mustang over the Camaro hands down.
Ken C,
Put the current Mustang beside the original one and the original will look like a mini Austin. You make no sense.
As a 1969 HS graduate, I also grew up with the first gen Camaro and have always loved it’s styling over all cars since. As a matter of fact, I love it so much, that I bought a rust free RS/SS example and currently in the process of resto-mod upgrading it. The first gens just like their Mustang rivals will always be the classic pony car.
This guys redesign makes me think 2008 called and they want their Camaro back. The updated version looks sweet. Don’t regress.
Camaro is doomed. Very fast and handles extraordinarily, but just ugly. Since they brought it back, it’s looks have never quite captured the original like the Mustang or Challenger did. GM is but a shadow of what it was in the late 60s, at least in terms of aesthetic design. Excepting maybe, the Corvette. I really can’t name one car, other than a Vette, in the last 45 years from GM that made me say, “wow”. Can you?
Yes, the latest Corvette and the previous generation, 6th Gen Camaro, 3rd Gen Firebird, 4th Gen Firebird, to name a few.
…GM that made me say, “wow”. Can you?
Aztek Wow, WTF and every expletives you can imagine.
Still looks like a Dodge Charger. I loved my ‘72 Camaro.
Camaro is dead last in its segment and losing share. Dead car walking.
GM should do the following to sell Camaro’s, need much better visibility than the present Camaro, make a 4Dr and a 2Dr such as the Dodge with a 4Dr dad could enjoy his sports car as well as taking the family, larger trunk, better looking, better on fuel and good quality and reliable. GM build this Camaro and sales would be much better than they are presently.
Come on GM! You guys didn’t get it right from the start of the 6th gen. You need to step back and look at both of the 1st and 6th side by side. Then you can see that the 6th doesn’t have any similarities of the 1st.
It is a good thing that this is NOT A GM CAR, but rather a n Artists RENDERING. This is not a good look for the Camaro
Bring back the Buick Grand National. Use the SS they recently cut. Make it a 2-door and change a few styling cues. If the challenger was a success, this would be too.
This 5th gen body style has run its course. The only thing can do is ruin it… like the new Corvette. Tbey should move to a sleeker, more aerodynamic design like in the 80’s and 90’s again. This past generation of Cheveolet vehicles, in general, look horrible. This redesign of the Camaro, again, looks horrible. They have already had to drop the Camaro once due to lack of sales. It looks lik they are on track to kill it again unless they change the style dramatically.
This type of car is dead!!!!!!
Ford is putting the next Mustang on the Explorer chassis (due to costs) which guarantees it will be a heavy pig.
FCA cancelled the new chassis which was to underpin the next Charger/Challenger.
The Camaro program loses money and no replacement is scheduled.
If you like the Camaro, you have 2 years to buy one.
Chevy Should start Fresh with a Retro 19701/2 to 1973 style Camaro… Keep It Simple!! And make it Cheaper than the Mustangs And Challengers.
Maybe if they abandon the current body style and shed some weight the 5.3 liter V8 will be a Great SS or Z28 engine.
What about a more like a firebird look like a 70-73 not so pointed front-end thinner grills or 80s style but wish more chevy style.
If they want to finish this generation on a stong note, they should model the car after the 69 SS/RS Camaro with the hide aways closed! They can even make it sleeker but with sharper lines as they did the 69 over the 67. From my experience the favorite year of Camaro and most sought after is the 69, so why not model the car aftet that?
You all can quit saying what Chevy can do to remake Camaro. It is a dead car walking! Last in its segment, it’s over in the next 2 years.
GM is devoting all its resources to pickups, SUVs, and electric vehicles. They are in survival mode no money to remake losing vehicles. Buick USA should be nervous.
I think if the headlights get any thinner might as well be slits in the grille. Overall they missed the mark big time from where I sit. US auto maker’s often do this with a hit design. Camaro refresh only shows truth in old exspression ” You can’t catch lightning in a bottle”! I thought the BIG 3 where back in the car buisness.
I like it
I made the comment about A Camaro with four doors for dire reason , The Camaro sales are dropping worse then , the Mustang and Challenger !! So in order to save the Camaro , Changes are needed ,Because if sale continue to fall In 2021 , there will not be a 2022, The car will be history !
Here is an idea…. ask camaro owners, ask those of us who are own camaeo number 2 or 3 what we like or don’t like. I promise you I have a few ideas.
The grand national was. A great car if you find one now it’s big bucks i love gm but the camro so is very expensive, bought a dodge i love it it’s a shame we’re GM has done to the hot rod .
RS..NICE
Worse thing in the design that they did over the last few years is make it a faux “fastback”; go back to the original design of what a Camaro should look like an what it was born being. Looks like a cheap Vette.
Reading these comments I realized that this younger generation has completely forgot that us “old guys” have been around cars two maybe three times longer than many of these kids have been on the planet. We the “old people” have seen, owned, and driven these cars and their many renditions. And you had better believe that if old guys are reading these article and responding to them, we know what we’re talking about.
4 door Camaros… why not a rumble seat as well! Different car manufacturers made different looking cars with different options because people are different, they’re individuals. Nobody wants the same car as their neighbor. That being said, yes the older generations are fully aware of design changes and the various reasons the designs change. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they don’t. And my original comment about there too much Chinese influence in the “American automobile industry is spot on. Can anyone answer as to why the Buick Riviera is not offered in the USA and for how long?
Here’s one part of the answer, it became a favorite in China some 20 years ago and for Buick to make more sales, they allowed it to be completely designed with the Chinese buyer in mind and was then eliminated from US sales. Last year Buick surrendered to the Chinese, and completely removed all Buick badging on the car, ensuring that Rivi had no noticeable ties back to an American car manufacturer.
In short, American car manufacturers need to get back to designing cars for Americans and stop worrying about what the rest of the world thinks. Because if you don’t we’re all going to be buying Chinese cars whether you like it or not, and you’ll drive what the Chinese tell you to drive.
From 2010 the camaro coups rear windows are stationary and the convertibles comes down you would think that gm. would have the back windows on the coup go down the car would look better with functional windows in the rea seat. I’m just saying!
j.p.,
I agree, you will be buying Chinese cars because the US has completely surrendered to the pandemic and has now lost total world leadership to China.
The lack of pandemic response and abdication to the virus is estimated to conservatively cost the US over 16 trillion as published by Bloomberg. The US will be bankrupt and China will own your remaining corporations.
This darn site won’t allow links. Just remove the XX at the beginning
XXhttps://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-10-12/summers-says-covid-19-will-end-up-costing-u-s-16-trillion
My first car was a 67 Camaro convertable. I’ve owned 15 Camaro. I had to find a left over 2018 SS, drive 600 miles in each direction to pick it up because the 2019 SS looked just like a Toyota Camery. Don’t forget, not many young people can afford a 40-50 K car, so design for a teenager is a fool game.
As a past owner of early models, 1967 thru 1981, I do see some resemblance.
I think it could do better. Out of all the “pony” muscle cars , produced today,by GM, FORD , CHRYSLER , I think the Challenger is the closest to my original 1968 model.
I’ve owed 6 Camaros and this one is horrid. But I think its more that I hate all the black! I’m a chrome kinda girl, not impressed with the sides of the car, especially i the door area. Does not resemble my 69 in any way!
Who cares about the Camaro
I don’t
Useless in the Winter
Doesn’t have room for anything or anyone other than driver and front passenger
Insurance rates through the roof because they are over powered
No one can use the power
Anywhere
As much as I agree with bring back the classics like the 67. 68 and 69,s I still LOVE my 2018 .Camaro RS CONVERTIBLE …I think the one guy said it right…Bring back the classic body style of the 67 68 and 69 but with all the modern day toys and goodies they have inside the 6th Generation Models
Agree!! Love my 2011 SS, its powerful, resembles the older styles and was updated nicely at time of purchase. Really love the HUD, that should be an option on all cars!! If it had a back up camera, blind spot signals on the mirrors and all the other goodies available almost 10 years later, it would be perfect. Still love her sleek, sexy body style and the interior setup. Sometimes you just don’t need to change a perfect thing so dramatically!!
On the comment regarding winter… So True! Complete nightmare in the smallest amount of snow! Way to much power not to get stuck. So don’t drive it in bad weather,, problem solved And yes its not like we can put all that power to good use everyday, but you cant in any other fast car either, at least not legally. As for insurance, I dont pay any more than I do for my other cars. You need to look at other insurance companies, or you are to young or have other reasons your rates are so high.
I OWN A V6 CAMARO RS AND I’M HERE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I WILL GO UP AGAINST ANY STOCK V8 AND HAVE BLOWN MANY A V8 CHARGERS OFF WITH MY LITTLE V6 BRO. SO DON’T KNOCK IT UNTIL YOU’VE TRIED ME..
THESE ARE NOT THE 6 CYLINDER OF YESTERYEAR AND PUT ON A PRO CHARGER OR TURBO CHARGER AND I’M MAKING 500 HP + SO PUT UP OR SHUT UP
The SketchMonkey’s rendition is right on. A more modern 2010 look. A look back into the future!!! As far as the back seat, i cant get into the back seat of a Mustang,my wife is 5’4″ and i still cant sit back there, it the leg room. so why is this even being brought up except to make stupid comments by people who cant get into a Mustang either….. .
Chevy and GM-Mary have just about forgotten the Camaro. No marketing at all. And the bean counters are pestering her to ditch the Camaro.
This car is a NITCH VEHICLE just like the Corvette. It is not a 100,000 a year model. ITS A SPECIALTY CAR, TREAT IT LIKE THAT!! AND KEEP IT COMING, COMPLAINTS ARE SUBJECTIVE. I HAPPEN TO LIKE THE FRONT END BETTER THAN THE MUSTANG. The dash on the Stang is nicer.
Seats go to the Camaro, and as far as the trunk, big deal, its a pony car- not going to have a huge trunk. And the opening is fine .
Chevy/GM☆☆☆☆ DONT DUMP THE CAMARO FOR A SECOND TIME!!!!!!
Gm is to busy trying to out do power of the stang to care what the camaro fans think. The 2010 was my car, loved it but the cheapest PLASTIC was used and scratched easy. Now the camaro is in life support because of GM. Price is so out of wack and GM is stabbing it in the back. Round heat vents like the stang, No arm rest for passanger, No glove box, tiny trunk and a $600.00 wheel hub cost per wheel, the cost for a tune up???? Well buy buy Camaro….a painful death at the hands of GM.
Chevy abandoned the retro look, instead focusing on aeros & track handling. 99% of folks wanting a ‘Maro couldn’t care less about going to a track. To make matters worse, they slacked in the HP Dept, too. Now we have a Camaro lacking in looks & slowest of the Big 3 retro muscle machines.
Need a ’70, coke bottle, retro design, complete with quarter front bumpers, big mouth grill, & meatball taillights. Bring back the Z/28 badge with at least 800 whp. If Ford & Dodge can do it, idk why GM can’t. You failed your fan base, epically.
I have a 67 ss rs and a 21 zl1. Take the 21 zl1 and make it look lighter. Let’s see it swoopier!
After seeing the refresh, I had a good cry, then started looking for a used 2018 2SS. I was holding out for a new 2SS or ZL1 for my 50th b-day in 2022, but that wasn’t going to happen…The front didn’t kill it for me at all. It was the ugly rear view. I loved the aggressive tail lights on the 16-18 so the oval ones look cartoonish to me. They really killed sales with that refresh.
Cut the retro crap let’s get with today folks. I have a 2019 LT I love to look of. STOP THE RETRO MADNESS it’s cliche and done already. Unless it’s seriously modernized just stop it….
Wonder when Gm performance is gonna stuff a 632 in a 6th gen like they did with hoonigan and the 3rd gen. 1000 hp sounds fun!
