Chevrolet Camaro Stolen From Dealership Lot

Police in Columbia, Illinois are investigating the theft of a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro from Bob Brockland Buick-GMC, a possible new trade-in for the dealership. The dealership reported the Camaro stolen on September 10th, noting that the vehicle featured distinct “aftermarket black wheels and a black hood scoop.”

The vehicle was recovered six days later, on September 16th, in St. Charles, Missouri, meaning the car thief managed to cross state lines before seemingly abandoning the vehicle. In this case, however, the distance between Columbia and St. Charles is roughly 35 miles – so he or she didn’t get very far.

As of this writing, police are still investigating the Chevrolet Camaro theft, and no perpetrator has been identified.

Illinois and Missouri area residents who may have any information on the theft are encouraged to contact the Columbia Police Department at 618-281-5151, said Columbia Police Chief, Jerry Paul.

  1. Someone breaks into a Chevrolet car dealership and decides to steal a Camaro.. which says that the Camaro is so hot that it’s worth going to prison for a chance to drive one; would make an epic commercial.
