GMC’s all-new 2019 Sierra offers many new features, one of which is an inclined panel within the console that doubles as a wireless phone charger.
A Closer Look
The incline and location of the wireless phone charger panel is ergonomically designed, as its angle helps with glancing at the smartphone for things like notifications. The charger takes up roughly half of the space within the bin on the center console and has left and right borders on the bottom end that prevent the phone from sliding off the pad.
Simply placing one’s smartphone on the panel charges it via inductive (or wireless) charging. Notably, the charger does not work with all phones. Instead, it requires a device compatible with either the QI or the PMA technologies. GMC recommends that users refer to the mobile devices manual to confirm phone compatibility. However, we should note that the charger should work with all smartphones equipped with QI and PMA, including the Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X.
Those who don’t have a compatible phone can still enjoy the pad as a convenient spot for one’s phone (no more putting the phone into a cupholder) that provides an ergonomic way of seeing notifications and incoming calls.

Why are yall doing stories on things we knew about in March yall should try to get a lot of gm fans together to convince Gm that the Sierra interior should be up there or surpass the rams one thing the people at gm dont understand that if I buy your truck I want the biggest badass thing on the block especially when it cost over 65 grand I think the fans of gm trucks like myself are seeing the reputation of these trucks getting worser as time goes by I don’t understand it thought gm was really going to hit the competition hard this time around I see they are still happy just being in 2nd place but this time around I see them going to 3rd place
“Why are yall doing stories on things we knew about in March”
We did not know about this in March.
All we knew in March is that the 2019 Sierra has a wireless phone charger. What we didn’t know is availability, packaging, and price – all of which were only released over the last few weeks.
To answer the rest of your comment: you need to have a grasp of GM’s strategy to actually understand what’s taking place. Being first does not matter. Ford sells more trucks than GM, but is not any better off by doing so. GM is optimizing for profit in its new strategy. To them, it doesn’t matter what place they are as long as they make more. Simply as that.
That said, I don’t think the situation is as grave as you describe it – and these trucks will perform very well in the marketplace.
Why no announcement about the 2019 Silverado configurator being live for over 24 hours now…
Got it. Standard on a Honda Odyssey, optional on a $51K GMC Sierra. Green eyeshade guys still trying to run the place.
Anyone try putting 35″ tires on the AT4 ? If so, what mods were necessary?
When will Carbon Fiber Bed be available
SO ALEX LUFT the grasp I suppose to have is Gm makes more money off of me getting less do you remember even some of you guys on stories you all where even DISAPPOINTED in the Silverado interior an especially mad when we learn the serria had the same thing so no I think when you pay 60 plus thousand dollars for a vehicle the inside an outside should look like forgive me ALEX LUFT if I think you should get what you pay for!!!!!!!@@@
