1986 Chevrolet Silverado Owned By Kurt Russell To Be Auctioned At Barrett-Jackson

Not only is there a well-known name attached to this Chevrolet Silverado, but it’s also in impeccable shape. Kurt Russell’s former 1986 Chevrolet Silverado will head to the auction block at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale with no reserve.

The truck was Russell’s personal workhorse on his ranch after being purchased in Glenwood Springs, Colorado with just 27 miles on it. The 1986 Silverado features the optional Dana 60 solid front axle with the optional 4:10 gear ratio, as well as the K30-code, one-ton package.

Powering this 1986 Silverado is a 454 cubic-inch V8 engine paired to a four-speed manual and sent to a 2.05 gear-driven transfer case.

As for maintenance, the truck was recently repainted with its factory-correct color, and the interior was completely refinished in the summer of 2015. Barrett-Jackson also states the truck has a well-maintained track record and it sports zero rust.

Even if you don’t care about Kurt Russell, this is one very clean Silverado.

  1. So…did you guys think a bit before you wrote this up? 754 cubic inch engine and a 4 speed automatic? 2.05 gear drive case? K30 code 1 ton package?

Lemme fix that for you …The truck is a Chevy C/K K30 Silverado trim. 454 big block, 3 speed automatic (would be the THM400/3L80 unit being a K30) and NP205 transfer case.

    1. The author of the article makes all the difference. This happens all the time with certain authors, and surprisingly that is the least it’s been screwed up.

    3. Sorry but it’s not a Silverado and not a Silverado trim. You can see it right on the fender emblem Scottsdale. Sorry about being picky just tired of people calling the older pickups Silverados.

  2. But its not a Silverado. That name only applied to the trim level back in those days and you can see its a K30 Scottsdale. It may be a mute point but I hate that these days everyone is calling the older Chevy pickups Silverado’s. Still a nice older Chevy pickup or is it a truck or pickup-truck?

  6. Please fix the damn article, and tell Barrett Jackson to as well. It’s a K30 Scottsdale, 454/7.4L, SMG 465 granny low 4 speed manual NP205 transfer case not 2.05(what the f___ would that even mean, the reduction ratio in low isn’t 2.05:1 I certainly know that), Dana 60 front/Corporate 14 bolt rear axles. With a 4.10 axle not a 4:10(as in four to ten or 4:10 in the morning, wtf) You guys are better than this and I thought B.J. auctions were too. Regain your GM Authority or hire someone who will.
