There Are Jedis In This 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS Review And A Whole Lot More: Video

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS has received a lot of praise, with folks admiring the Alpha platform and LT1 V8 combination. The track-star-ponycar puts out 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, and a 0-to-60 time of about 4 seconds. Chances are you already knew this, but it’s one thing to see what a car can do, and it’s another thing to see how drivers react to a car.

AutoGuide‘s Craig Cole had yet to be behind the wheel of the 2016 Camaro SS up until this point, so his reaction is coming after the initial hype has faded. Still, Cole seems to be just as caught up in the Camaro’s glory as we were when we got behind the wheel of one, as well as the 2.0L turbo model. Though there weren’t any ghosts of Jedi Knights during our experiences.

Is all this love for the new Camaro simply star-lust? We doubt it, this thing is the complete package. It offers usability, performance, looks, sound, and the iconic reverence of the Chevrolet Camaro name. It’s no wonder why pre-orders are flying in from even places like South Korea, the land of Kias and Hyundais.

A car-loving millennial. We Are!

  1. That truck opening is absolutely ridiculously small, just like the 5th Gen. GM could have made improvements here. Heck, you can transport two entire sheets of drywall short distancesl in the hatchback of a 4th Gen Camaro! I know, I have done it! lol

Also agree angling the center screen down was a mistake. At least it’s a bit higher than the 5th Gen, but could still be higher yet! Hoping to see Apple’s CarPlay support apps like TrackAddict — perfect for this Camaro!
