$695 more.
40,000 miles less powertrain warranty.
I feel quite sorry for the person that loses their LT1 or LT4 at the 75,000 mile marker as a daily driver in year four.
Better buy that GMEPP before GM realizes they need to raise the premiums to cover the spread in the powertrain reduction… if they haven’t already.
I wonder which would cost more, adding Android Auto to a 2015, or buying an extra 40,000 miles in warranty for a 2016: GM-Navigation says it’ll be around $1,500 for the CarPlay/AndroidAuto addon.
It’s both worse and better than that. The destination charge has gone down by more than $100, lessening the impact of the price increase. On the flip side, dealer prices have gone up even more, so dealers have less room to discount than before.
The cost of everything has gone up in many areas. We are seeing it first hand with the increases in Min Wage. Not only did that go up but many other places went up because it became more difficult to hire people.
I know we had to jack out wages up to hire entry level people.
It is simple economics. You raise the cost of things in making and selling them you raise prices to compensate for the increases.
As for the LT issues they appear to be pretty much in hand at this point. Some were the metal in the filters and some were air in coolant lines that were not bleed properly. Both have been addressed and we have not see much of an issue in the newer cars.
Also based on experience If there are any linger issues past the warranty GM often will look at them and take care of them past the warranty. I have seen this done more often than you think.
thats normally and i like. so they can made better and better cars
I don’t fault Chevrolet or General Motors for increasing the price of the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette by $695 especially given how the UAW just got a FAT contract which gave all of their workers more money and in some ways.. you’ve got to think of this as being status quo or even a slight discount in price.
All Gm cars have seen an increase. Wages went up so prices go up. Simple economics and that is why few people get ahead in the long run. Todd in the value of the dollar and the purchasing power can to down too and makes it even worse.
With gas being as cheap as it is right now you think prices would stay the same if not go down…. Right who am I kidding lol.
