In San Jose, California, Momentum Auto Group Motorsports – a department of Momentum Chevrolet – has been playing host to a slew of Chevrolet Camaro enthusiasts at a “Camaro Clinic.” The dealer’s new motorsports department just began hosting the event back in December of 2014, and already they’ve come to host two more.
CamaroNews reports that at this third Camaro Clinic, owners were invited to watch a live brake pad swap featuring Hawk Performance Street/Race pads, and were shown the “proper” way to change out pads on the fifth-generation Camaro. Chevrolet Performance Factory Representative Jeff James was also present, demonstrating how to use the DIY brake bleeder kit for one-man brake-bleeding jobs.
Coolest of all, Hamilton Racing Promotions from Fremont, California brought a PC-based racing simulator running the iRacing.com game for visitors to take a few virtual laps. The company’s Joel Hamilton was there largely to stress the opportunities that AutoX events pose for Camaro fans to hone their driving skills and compete in a relatively low-cost, low-pressure environment.
All-in-all, we could imagine worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon. If you’re in the San Jose, California area and happen to be cuckoo for Camaro, we highly recommend checking it out next time.
