Feeling Lucky? Win A 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Or A 2015 Corvette Z06

As you’ve probably read over the past few months, McDonalds is having a hell of time lately. January marked the eight straight month of sales declines and last year the multi-national chain suffered a 4.1 per cent drop in customer traffic. However, there seems to be a bright spot for car enthusiasts, particularly for us GM fans: Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley is offering two draws for two seriously incredible Corvette’s, one old and one new.

First up is a fully-restored 1967 Corvette Sting Ray convertible. Though it’s no split-window Coupe this ’67 is bone-stock and chock-full of goodies like the legendary 427 cubic-inch big-block V8 (good for 435hp), 4-speed manual, side-exhausts, radio-delete option (1 of 747 according to the listing), and bolt-on wheels with redline tires.

There’s also a brand new 2015 Corvette Z06 available. With the Z07 performance package and the 3LZ premium package, this 650 hp monster is fully-equipped with nearly every available option.

As if a new Corvette in your driveway isn’t enough, you’ll also get $20,000 in cash to help with taxes, transportation or thousands of cheeseburgers. The draw for the ’67 Sting Ray will be held Saturday, November 7th, 2015 and the draw for the Z06 will be held a week later on November 12th. Best of all, it’s all going to a great cause; you’ll be supporting the financial burden of families who have a seriously ill child in the hospital.

A far-too-tall Ontarian who likes to focus on the business end of the auto industry, in part because he's too tall to safely swap cogs in a Corvette Stingray.

  1. Won’t the cash also be subject to taxes 25%?

    1. Yeah you have to pay taxes on the cash you to have to pay taxes on everything now. If McDonald’s wants to increase their sales why don’t they add beef to the menu.

      1. I’m not quite sure what McDonald’s has to do with the Ronald McDonald’s House though as the author in this article alludes to. McDonald’s profits or lack thereof don’t affect the House. This looks like a good money raising venture of charity for the House.

  2. FYI, “Stingray” is one word.

    1. Correct! A stingray is related to the shark. The tail is so dangerous that a real stingray killed the once famous “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin:

  3. In a similar giveaway ( win the vettes ) the $50,000 towards prize taxes is paid on your behalf for federal withholding- so no extra tax money owed on the tax money so to speak… with the idea being that the cars can be kept rather than selling one to pay the taxes on the other.
