Ever since Cadillac’s V-series hit the streets, the D3 Group has played a role in being the premiere manufacturer of tuning equipment and accessories for Cadillac. You can find D3 products competing in various levels of motorsport, from pro-am to endurance racing.
So since we’re Cadillac fans, we’re excited to catch D3’s debut of the “Black Rose” at the 2014 SEMA Show. The Black Rose represents the Group’s final tribute to the outgoing second-generation CTS-V chassis − a parting gift, if you will − to leave Cadillac fans with something to remember. It’s the perfect follow-up to the “Le Monstre” concept several years ago . . . but this time, a wagon.
The D3 Group managed to stuff one of their race-prepped 427s while strapping a pair of Turbonetics turbochargers, extracting 1100 horsepower in the process. The Black Rose is also equipped with a one-off competition widebody aero package that not only is functional but also allows 20 x 13-inch-wide rear wheels rolling on Toyo T1R 345/25/R20 tires; up front you’ll find 20 x 11-inch-wide 305/30/R20 Toyos.
No other details have been released at this moment but you’ll be able to see it unveiled at the Turbonetics booth in the Central Hall at the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
