2015 Chevrolet Colorado, 2015 GMC Canyon Begin Shipments

If you were one of the over 100,000 users that configured either a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado or 2015 GMC Canyon online, chances are you’re interested in knowing that the GM midsize trucks have boarded rail cars and semi trailers from the Wentzville, Missouri plant, and have begun shipping to dealers nationwide.

“We have heard our customers loud and clear – they want a modern midsize truck that’s refined and capable. We’re excited to introduce them to the Canyon. We’re confident the Canyon will redefine the segment, with the latest technologies and premium materials throughout,” said GMC Vice President Duncan Aldred.

With over 30,000 total pre-orders between the 2015 Colorado and 2015 Canyon and the addition of a third shift at Wentzville, he appears to be right.

  2. I live in Metro Detroit and could have sworn I saw one of these on the road about a month ago (in fact, it was the exact color of that Chevy coming off the truck in the above pic). Is that possible? Did they let any dealers or VIP customers have one early?

  4. Its a beautiful truck….but you may not be able to get a rear sliding window in the cabs. Tacoma trucks have the option up front. I wouldn’t buy it though….GM still doesn’t get it! Why put out the truck without this option up front?! However, for more money no doubt, you can get it after 2015. Makes little sense to me.

  5. This is a beautiful truck period!
Having said this, all options a customer may want are not available this year. If you want a rear sliding window in the truck, you will have to wait until 2015 to order this option. I now have to wait until after December to order the truck just to get this option. I am very disappointed as I need the truck for my business. But Toyota has this option on its Tacoma at purchase. I do not want a “Tacoma” though! This little small thing is how the competition gets us. Buy American!
