What To Expect From The General At The 2013 L.A. Auto Show

From what we know so far, General Motors will unveil a total of three models at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Barring any last-minute surprises — which are most definitely possible, all of GM’s reveals will be from Chevrolet, and include the following models.

  • 2015 Colorado mid-size pickup truck
  • 2014 Sonic RS Sedan, the sedan variant of the hot tepid Sonic RS hatch
  • 2014 Sonic Dusk Sedan — a more refined (one could say luxurious) subcompact for the mainstream

From what we’ve been told by sources, the Colorado’s GMC platform mate — the 2015 Canyon — will not be shown in Los Angeles. Big Red is instead expected to unveil the vehicle at a later date.

  5. I expect the Colorado to be the biggest thing. GM also like to do a lot of environmental things at LA to please the tree huggers. The high MPG claims for the Colorado will be why It is intro’d there.

I expect spy shots of the ATS Coupe and V to show up in December as this is when GM starts dropping hints for Detroit.

Not a big fan of the quad cab styling but I do love the extended cab and the new nose is a great improvement. I just hope the non LTZ does not have too much chrome.

      1. Now that I can talk about it… apparently, the platform of the North American-market Colorado isn’t the same as that of the international (GMI-based) model. Stay tuned as we learn more from interviews with GMers 🙂
