Cadillac Optiq Arctiq Edition Debuts In Paris Motor Show

With Cadillac’s all-electric business premiering at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, the luxury brand also revealed the new Cadillac Optiq Arctiq Edition at the event.

The automaker unveiled the new special-edition Optiq at this year’s Paris Motor Show, which takes place in the French capital from October 15th to the 20th. The Optiq Arctiq represents the nameplate’s global show vehicle debut, which was created especially for the event and doesn’t anticipate a future production variant.

“The Cadillac Optiq Arctiq is more than just a car; it’s a symbol of a new era of luxury winter touring,” said CMO at Cadillac Europe, Jean-Pierre Diernaz. “With its stunning design, innovative technology, and commitment to sustainability, the Optiq Arctiq offers an unforgettable adventure for those seeking the perfect blend of style and performance,” he added.

In particular, the new Cadillac Optiq Arctiq Edition is a show car equipped with a special adventure accessory package that enhances its off-road capabilities and – according to the brand – “reinvents the future of luxury winter travel.” The design of the Optiq Arctiq remains exactly the same as the regular model in Luxury trim, and adopts a Crystal White Tricoat body with subtle blue details, a look inspired by the Arctic landscape.

In fact, the only new features of the Cadillac Optiq Arctiq Edition are its exterior appearance and its higher stance thanks to the special 18-inch wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT 265/65R18 tires, giving it a more robust and adventurous character. In addition, the Optiq Arctiq show car is equipped with a ski rack that is fixed with suction cups to the panoramic glass roof.

The new Cadillac Optiq Arctiq Edition was developed specifically for the 2024 Paris Motor Show and will support the introduction of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq in Europe, where it will arrive imminently as the brand’s second all-electric model available in the region. Cadillac says the Arctiq Edition enhances the Optiq’s dynamic and adventurous soul with an all-wheel drivetrain, allowing it to handle the harshest winter conditions.

  1. The Cadillac Optiq look good in white. Mosr Cadillacs do look good in white. My uncle had a 1957 Eldorado converible in white.

  2. Putting big tires and suction cup crossbars (because there are no mounts for any rack elements) on a car is not “showcasing” anything.

  3. Well I love when they hark back to the 1976 print ad showing a Sedan DeVille on a path in the woods. “You don’t have to pamper a Cadillac” was the awesomest ad copy and visual, very memorable.

Shame they leverage this aspect on an EV though. Shouldn’t they paint it dayglow yellow so they can find the frozen bodies inside before spring? Makes me visualize the freeze-dried Everest climbers littering the mountain.
