Remember the Opel Adam Rocks concept from this year’s Geneva Motor Show? Designed as a higher-riding, more versatile variant of the base vehicle, an Adam Rocks-type of SUV would theoretically compete with the VW Cross Up, and perhaps the Mini Paceman. If we’re to believe Automotive News, the Adam Rocks concept is going to spin off an actual production version, making an Adam SUV a reality.
According to the report, the name of the Adam Rocks production vehicle has not been finalized, but will go on sale in late 2014, which will help Opel get a slice of the growing small crossover pie in Europe. It would also be the third variant of the Adam, after the expected convertible model.

The Adam is a small, practical, inexpensive car that manages to look very cool. A third vehicle spun off it sounds like a good idea to me. I believe the small car market will continue to grow.
With the A segment & crossovers being the fastest growing segments right now I’m not surprised the Adam Rocks will make production.
As a Buick? How about a Pontiac at a BPG dealership! These two vehicles would look nice with Pontiac versions of: a wide Sonic, and two alpha vehicles.
