After finishing another record sales year in 2012, Shanghai General Motors feels that its future is bright enough to elevate its sales expectations for 2013. When not counting vehicles sold under the SAIC or Wuling banner (GM’s Chinese partners), Shanghai GM sold just over 1.39 million Buicks, Cadillacs, and Chevrolets — a 13.1 percent gain from a year ago.
Shanghai GM’s original goal for 2013 was 1.45 million units, though it’s not yet clear as to what the reset goal for this year will be.
