2013 Chevrolet Malibu Passes 1 Million Miles In Testing

The launch of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is right around the corner, with the 38 mpg Eco version expected to ship off to dealerships at the beginning of next year. As the date approaches, GM engineers are finalizing their testing procedures, and the video below celebrates their one million miles of testing needed for the car to qualify for sale in the United States. We would also like to nominate Malibu chief engineer Jesse Ortega for an engineers’ best mullet award… if that doesn’t exist yet, we’re starting it.

  1. One of the many reasons I love GM Authority:

“We would also like to nominate Malibu chief engineer Jesse Ortega for an engineers’ best mullet award… if that doesn’t exist yet, we’re starting it.”

I actually spilled my gatorade all over myself.

PS: I also love the new Malibu; its styling is kind of like Mr. Ortega’s hair – business in the front, party in the back. Front is refined and “smooth”, back is Camarolike.
