Baojun 310 Wagon Bows In China

Baojun is SAIC-GM-Wuling’s fastest growing brand in the country of China and its portfolio ranges from small cars to crossovers. Now, the brand is adding a wagon to the mix.

The Baojun 310 wagon was revealed earlier this year at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, but it has officially launched as the brand’s value proposition. Specifically, Baojun believes the 310 wagon offers the value of a car while providing the space and practicality of a utility vehicle.

51 cubic feet of cargo space is available with the rear seats folded flat, and when the seats are folded up, seating for five passengers is possible. Standard features include a rear-view camera, heated mirrors and a tire pressure monitoring system. However, Baojun offers plenty of features normally not found in the segment. Those include air conditioning controls for the rear passengers, an eight-inch touchscreen unit, constant-speed control and more.

Powertrain choices are limited to either a 1.2-liter or 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and both are mated to a six-speed manual exclusively. The 310 wagon is on sale now with a starting price of  RMB 42,800 ($6,311 USD) but may be optioned to RMB 56,800 ($8,375 USD).

  1. This small CUV is a perfect candidate to become hybrid or elelctric. Maybe the Bolt EVs’ powertrain and battery will fit.
