Last year, Jeff Gordon raffled off a C7 Corvette Stingray in support of his charity, the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation. Now, in his final year as a full-time Sprint Cup series driver, the racing legend has decided to do it again, this time offering up a 2015 C7 Corvette convertible.
Gordon’s raffle is similar to those done in order to raise money for the National Corvette Museum. Only 7,500 tickets will be sold at a price of $100 each, given each ticket buyer a good shot at winning the car, and federal taxes will also be covered for the winner. To sweeten the deal even more, Gordon will personally hand the keys over to you himself.
The Corvette up for grabs this time around is a Z51-equipped Torch Red convertible with the 3LT equipment package and the optional eight-speed automatic transmission. You could always sell it if the spec isn’t quite to your tastes, just don’t take it for a test drive first, as you’ll probably end up holding onto it forever.
The best part about Gordon’s Corvette raffle is it doesn’t matter if you don’t win. The proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit pediatric cancer research, treatment and patient support programs, so your money will be going to a great cause.
