Bloomington Corvette Show Headed To Indy For 2015

Due to the renovation of the the State Farm Center in Campaign, Illinois, the folks who bring you the Bloomington Gold Corvette show have had to scurry and find a new venue for 2015. Now that search is over and you can start planning your schedule for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for June 25-27, 2015.

Chevrolet Corvettes have served as the official Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500 a record 12 times, so it’s a perfect fit for the nation’s premiere all-Corvette show to be showcased at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said IMS president, J. Douglas Boles. “We’re looking forward to hosting Bloomington Gold Corvettes USA along with thousands of Corvette and automobile enthusiasts for a great three days at ‘The Racing Capital of the World.'”

Bloomington Gold put on the Bloomington Corvette Corral starting in 1973 at the McLean County Fairgrounds in Bloomington, Illinois. With 112 Corvettes and 1,500 people attending that weekend, the event was considered a success and is now going on 42 years. For 2015, 5,000 Corvettes are expected to appear at IMS.

Of course, this is one of the best places to find new and used Corvettes, parts, and all things related to the Corvette.

“Corvette owners will be able to experience the thrill of driving laps on the oval, high- speed rides on the road course and more thrilling events than any other car show has to offer,” said Bloomington Gold president Guy Larsen. “By renting the entire facility, all aspects of this iconic venue will be offered to show attendees including the race garages, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum and Brickyard Crossing Golf Course.”
