Ad Break: “Wheat Grass,” Starring The 2014 Silverado High Country

While most men might not mind eating veggie burgers, kale salad, wheat grass or whatever other strange food their wives or girlfriends read about in a magazine and then went and plucked off the shelf at Whole Foods, they don’t want to be stuck eating it every day.

Some days, men just want to meet up with some friends, barbeque some burgers and tailgate off the back of their Silverado, as shown in Chevrolet’s latest ad.

This ad was one of a few Chevrolet used to capitalize on the advertising opportunity that is the Super Bowl. In it, a man is seen proudly towing a barbecue to a football tailgate party with his Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country.

Notably, the TV spot closes off with mention of the Silverado’s North American Truck of the Year award, which Chevrolet marketing chief, Tim Mahoney, said the brand would take advantage of in all of their future communications. A Silverado High Country was also given to the Super Bowl MVP.

Sam loves to write and has a passion for auto racing, karting and performance driving of all types.
