After 38 years with General Motors, Wayne Brannon has elected to retire from the company. He will leave behind the position of President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe for Susan Docherty, who has been GM’s Vice President, International Operations, Sales, Marketing and Aftersales since May of 2010. The transition will happen January 1, 2012.

It seems that Docherty has been everywhere since the reorganization. Is she being moved around because she’s incompetent or is she being groomed for a higher position and as such is being shown all aspects of the company?
