EPA Delaying Chevrolet Volt Launch

The Chevrolet Volt has been rolling off the line at Detroit-Hamtramck plant for the past week. However, they’re only rolling off to sit in the parking lot outside. How come? The Volt still doesn’t have a mileage label from the EPA.

According to GM’s global product chief Tom Stephens, the EPA requires all vehicles on the market to have completed fuel economy testing. Stephens went onto say the Volt’s stickers should be arriving “any day” now.

Hopefully, the EPA gets its act together and sends out those stickers to GM without pulling a CARB.
