Oof TonyD on the paint. GM sure is good a messing up this final leg of the vehicle order. When I last talked to my dealer he told me that GM is really pushing the 4 cyl on the WT pickups. I look at the output on them and it’s obviously comparable but if I’m getting that small of an engine I would want the fuel efficiency to be significantly higher than the V8. Admittedly I don’t understand the vehicle manufacturing process but it seems like reinventing the wheel a bit with that small engine. The dealer also told me if I don’t go elsewhere we’re probably looking at a 2024 model year build now.
