2019 Chevrolet Cruze Updates, Changes, New Features

The 2019 Cruze receives a mid-cycle enhancement (MCE), otherwise known as a facelift or refresh, consisting of the following changes, updates and new features:

  • Exterior:
    • Revised front facia design
    • Deletion of two exterior colors:
      • Crush
      • Arctic Blue Metallic
    • Addition of two exterior colors:
      • Pacific Blue Metallic
      • Oakwood Metallic
    • Deletion of power-adjustable, heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals
      • The mirrors were standard and available only on the Premier trim levels of the 2018 Cruze
      • The 2019 Cruze is available with the following two mirror types, depending on trim level:
        • Power-adjustable and manual-folding
        • Heated, power-adjustable and manual-folding
    • Deletion of chrome strip in door handles
      • The 2019 Cruze is available exclusively with body-color door handles
    • Deletion of bright side window surround moldings
      • The 2019 Cruze is available only with the bright beltline (rather than the entire window surround)
    • Deletion of Ground Effects Package (LPO/dealer-installed)
    • Addition of LED tail lamps on Premier model
    • Replacement of 16″ aluminum wheels (RS1) with 16″ aluminum wheels (SK8)
    • Replacement of 17″ aluminum wheels (RSC) with 17″ aluminum wheels (RSE)
    • Addition of new 17″ aluminum wheels (QOJ) on the RS Package (ZLH) with LT trim level
    • Addition of 18″ aluminum wheels (RQJ) for Diesel Hatch and Premier models
  • Interior:
    • Deletion of ambient interior lighting, which was available as part of the Sunroof Package
    • Deletion of dual rear reading lights
    • Deletion of front passenger seat-back map pocket, which was previously standard and only available on the Premier trim level
    • Addition of Jet Black / Galvanized Cloth seating for LS, LT and Diesel models
    • Addition of Jet Black / Galvanized Leatherette seating for Diesel with PCM, and Premier models
    • Addition of Jet Black / Umber Leatherette seating for Diesel with PCM, and Premier
    • Addition of powered Universal Tablet Holder (LPO) (late availability)
    • Replacement of Jet Black leather-appointed seating with Jet Black leatherette seating
      • This results in all Cruze models previously equipped with leather now being equipped with leatherette seating
    • Replacement of Chevrolet MyLink radios with Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, 7″ diagonal color touchscreen
    • Replacement of USB port with 2 USB ports and auxiliary input jack
    • Addition of single-zone automatic climate control as standard on LT and Premier models
    • Addition of floor console with armrest as standard on all models
    • Change of rear carpeted floor mats as standard only on LT, Diesel and Premier models
    • Addition of remote vehicle starter system as standard on LT models
  • Powertrain:
    • Deletion of 6-speed manual transmission
    • Addition of system override to engine start/stop system
  • Packages:
    • Deletion of Technology Package (ZLA), which included:
      • Bose premium 9-speaker system
      • Color Driver Information Center
      • Miles/kilometers speedometer instrumentation
    • Deletion of Enhanced Convenience Package (ZL4), which included:
      • Single-zone automatic climate control
      • Heated rear seats outboard seating positions
      • Wireless Charging for devices
      • 110-volt power outlet
      • Inside rearview auto-dimming mirror
      • Driver Express-Up/Down power window
    • Deletion of Sun and Sound with Navigation Package (PCK), which included:
      • Power sunroof
      • Chevrolet MyLink Radio with Navigation
      • Technology Package:
        • Bose premium 9-speaker system
        • Color Driver Information Center
        • Miles/kilometers speedometer instrumentation
    • Deletion of Sunroof Package (ZLN), which included:
      • Power sunroof
      • Driver and front passenger illuminated vanity mirrors visors
      • Interior ambient lighting
    • Deletion of Redline Edition (WBL), which included:
      • Black emblems with Red outline
      • Black beltline moldings
      • Black front grille surround
      • Black fog lamp surround
      • 18″ aluminum wheels
      • P225/40R18 all-season blackwall tires
      • Rear compound crank suspension with Z-link for enhanced rear stability
    • Addition of new LS Hatch model (1BR68) with (1SB) equipment group
    • Addition of LS Convenience Package (ZFT), which includes:
      • Cruise control
      • Remote vehicle starter system
      • Steering wheel-mounted controls
      • 16″ aluminum wheels and 16″ tires
    • Change of Leather Package (PCM) to Preferred Package, which includes:
      • Front passenger 4-way manual seat adjuster
      • 5-spoke Leather-wrapped steering wheel
      • Heated steering wheel
  • Safety:
    • Addition of Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking as part of the Driver Confidence II Package
    • Addition of Front Pedestrian Braking as part of the Driver Confidence II Package
  • Other:
    • Replacement of Keyless Open on all 4 doors with Keyless Open on front doors; the passive entry system can still be programmed to unlock all doors at once with one press or with two presses of the front door buttons

Changes

  • (HWF) Jet Black leatherette seating replaces (H2X) Jet Black leather-appointed seating
  • (IOR) Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, 7″ diagonal color touchscreen replaces (IOA/IO5/IO6) Chevrolet MyLink radios
  • (UST) USB ports, 2, with auxiliary input jack replaces (USR) USB port
  • (C68) Single-zone automatic climate control now standard on LT and Premier
  • (D06) Floor console with armrest now standard on all models
  • (B35) Rear carpeted floor mats now only standard on LT, Diesel and Premier
  • (AVJ) Keyless Open on front doors replaces (ATH) Keyless Open on all 4 doors; The passive entry system can still be programmed to unlock all doors at once with one press or with two presses of the front door buttons
  • (BTV) Remote vehicle starter system now standard on LT
  • (PCM) Package name is now Preferred Package
  • (SK8) 16″ aluminum replace (RS1) 16″ aluminum wheels
  • (RSE) 17″ aluminum replace (RSC) 17″ aluminum wheels
  • New wheels in the (ZLH) RS Package:
    • (QOJ) 17″ aluminum wheels for LT
