Vauxhall Bringing Its VXR Goodies To Headline Return To Goodwood Festival Of Speed

The annual Goodwood Festival of Speed best be ready for Vauxhall. This year, Vauxhall is planning a full-blown return to Goodwood and it’s bringing its stable of VXR play toys.

Highlighted by the range-topping Vauxhall VXR8, world-acclaimed Paul Swift will pilot the onslaught of VXR vehicles for a thrilling spectacle for all show-goers. But for those who don’t want to watch the 576 hp VXR8 (why would you not want to watch a VXR8?) and its performance brethren, there will be a newly crafted family area with the complete lineup of Vauxhall vehicles.

The family area will feature some neat activities, though, including remote-controlled cars, ADAM Pedal Car Raceway and Vauxhall Crazy Football.

Rounding out Vauxhall’s “Flat-Out and Fearless” theme will be a trio of pre-war Vauxhall vehicles: a 1922 TT, Vauxhall’s only Grand Prix race car; a 1930 Villiers Supercharged, with 304 hp and top speed of 150mph; and a 1910 C-10 ‘Prince Henry’, acknowledged as the first proper sports car.

And, if you miss the Vauxhall Heritage Center open house, more iconic Vauxhall vehicles will be on display for guests including the heralded Vauxhall Lotus Carlton.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed opens June 26 and runs through June 28.
