In addition to confirming the most radical version so far of the Corvette C8 in the Middle East, General Motors also announced the all-new 2025 Corvette ZR1 in Mexico.
The automaker took advantage of the global world debut of the all-new 2025 Corvette ZR1 to announce the most powerful and aggressive variant of the iconic American sports car to date in the Mexican market. GM Mexico confirmed that the brand-new 2025 Corvette ZR1 will arrive in the country during the next year, following the start of sales in the United States.
“The team that revolutionized Corvette with a mid-engine architecture took on another challenge: take ZR1 to the next level,” said Global Vice president of Chevrolet, Scott Bell. “Corvette ZR1 is about pushing the envelope with raw power and cutting-edge innovation. From Stingray, to Z06, E-Ray, and now ZR1, the Corvette family continues to elevate with each new iteration – and challenge the best in the world,” he added.
Notably, GM’s Mexican subsidiary was the second international subsidiary of the automaker to announce that the all-new 2025 Corvette ZR1 will be sold in the market territory it serves – after GM Africa And Middle East confirmed it more explicitly for the countries of Southwest Asia. In fact, Mexico is the only country in Latin America where the Bow Tie brand officially markets the mid-engine Corvette.
As the ultimate expression of power and performance of the eighth-generation Corvette to date, the all-new 2025 Corvette ZR1 becomes the fastest and most powerful version in the successful nameplate’s long history. The Corvette C8 ZR1 debuts GM’s new 5.5L V8 LT7 twin-turbocharged engine that develops 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque, mated to an updated eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The all-new 2025 Corvette ZR1 will be launched next year in the United States, Canada, the Middle East, Mexico and other select international markets as the flagship version of the C8 Corvette. The most radical model in the sports car’s lineup will go into production starting in 2025 at GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky, and will later arrive in the Mexican market to complement the existing Stingray and Z06 versions of the Corvette in that country.
