Opening to the public way back in September 1994, the National Corvette Museum (NCM) has been honoring America’s sports car for 30 years now. To commemorate this anniversary, the NCM has announced that it’ll be raffling away a special 30th Anniversary 2025 Corvette Z06.
In the National Corvette Museum’s latest raffle, the organization has elected to run a sweepstakes for a 30th Anniversary 2025 Corvette Z06. Judging from the only available image, the car would is a convertible painted in Black with custom 30th Anniversary full-length racing stripes and decals, along with an Artemis interior. Unfortunately, not other details are known as of the time of this writing, so be sure to stay tuned for more information.
In other National Corvette Museum-related developments, GM Authority recently reported that the track-dedicated Corvette C8.R was put on display at the facility. As the No. 3 car, this particular C8.R boasts an impressive record of 10 wins and 13 poles in 27 starts in the GTLM class, with class titles by Antonio Garcia and Jordan Taylor in 2020 and 2021, and several race wins – including the Six Hours of Monza – by Tommy Milner and Nick Tandy.
Beyond that, the NCM was recently rated as the second-best car museum in the United States. Only the Savoy Automobile Museum in Georgia beat out the Vette-focused museum in the top ten ratings. Additionally, the National Corvette Museum is now a Blue Star Museum for 2024, meaning that will offer free admission to active U.S. military personnel and their respective families throughout the summer.
Finally, the National Corvette Museum recently revealed a wireframe model of the Corvette C5 as part of the Driven by Design exhibit. Intended as a means to underscore the fifth-gen Corvette’s body lines, this piece of art played an integral role in the Corvette C5’s design process, and helped transform America’ sports car into the performance machine it is today.
