The recent launch of all-new 2024 Chevy Trax in South Korea has had a high impact among customers with a record 10,000 reservations filled in just four days, and General Motors anticipates that the entry-level crossover will boost sales in the Asian country.
The automaker’s South Korean subsidiary reaffirmed its commitment to the success of the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax in Korea, where the company is executing an ambitious strategy to significantly increase its sales and fight for local sales leadership in the crossover segment with the arrival of the second-generation Trax. In fact, GM Korea claims that the 2024 Trax will fully expand its business and reach in the domestic South Korean market.
“Let’s prove to everyone that our goal of finishing on top is something we can achieve together,” said President and CEO of GM Korea, Roberto Rempel. “To our employees, be proud of yourselves. You have successfully designed and engineered a car that our customers will love. To our partners, I’m counting on you to show our customers just how fantastic this car is,” he added.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Trax represents the biggest bet in GM’s recent history in the South Korean market, as it introduces a new entry-level crossover concept based on Chevrolet‘s rich American heritage, while satisfying top customer preferences in the segment. In addition, the aggressive positioning of the 2024 Trax seeks to expand sales of the nameplate and thus raise the brand’s level of competitiveness in the country.
“The Trax Crossover is a vehicle with high expectations on the sales front, as there have been many inquiries from customers even before its launch,” said Team Leader of Chevrolet Sales Agency in Korea, Eun-a Jung. “It is a model with many advantages, such as good space utilization, a reasonable price and a unique design for its class. We will do our best to make the Trax Crossover a success by communicating with customers,” he finished.
With the production end of the Chevy Spark last year, the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax has not only replaced the minicar on the production line at the GM Changwon plant but also as the entry-level vehicle of Chevrolet’s portfolio in South Korea. What’s more, GM positioned the 2024 Trax as the most affordable crossover in the Asian country with a starting price of 20,520,000 won (about $15,730 USD at the current exchange rate) for the LS trim.
