Just days after the official launch of all-new 2024 Chevy Trax in South Korea, General Motors announced that its new global entry-level crossover broke a pre-order record in the Asian country.
Customer response regarding the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax has been off the charts in South Korea, amounting to 10,000 pre-orders just four days after its debut in the country, which represents the highest pre-sales record ever achieved by Chevrolet and the entry-level crossover segment in the South Korean market. The remarkable initial success of the 2024 Trax anticipates the new compact crossover’s high potential to become a sales leader in Korea.
“The amazing success of the all-new Trax, which achieved 10,000 pre-orders in the shortest period of time for the brand, is the result of customers recognizing the unique value of the crossover,” said Managing Director, Sales of GM Korea, Young Deuk Seo. “Starting with the new Trax, Chevrolet will lead the crossover market in the future, and we will do our best to quickly deliver products to customers around the world,” he added.
The 10,000 pre-orders for all-new 2024 Chevy Trax submitted in just four business days is the highest number the Bow Tie brand has achieved so far in Korea. Until now, the best pre-sale periods were recorded for the Chevy Malibu with 10,000 pre-orders in eight business days and the Chevy Impala achieving the same number of pre-orders in one month. In addition, the best local figure for the popular Chevy Spark was 6,000 pre-orders in one month.
In addition, the high popularity that the 2024 Chevy Trax is experiencing in South Korea is more explosive than that of competing models currently leading the entry-level crossover segment in that country, such as the Kia Seltos and the Hyundai Kona. In fact, the second-generation Trax revolutionizes the entry-level utility concept with a compact size, a spacious interior, high-end features, and the lowest price on the market.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Trax is currently on pre-sale in South Korea and is expected to arrive in dealerships during the month of April, with aggressive positioning that seeks to increase Chevrolet’s sales and lead the crossover segment by introducing a unique proposition across the automotive industry. The 2024 Trax is offered in Korea with four trim levels and a starting price of 20,520,000 won (about $15,780 USD at the current exchange rate).

The new Trax looks like a great vehicle. Hopefully the reviews bear this out.
Yes it looks much better then the old Trax! Just don’t expect luxury car levels in something this inexpensive.
I like the new Trax. I wish I could get the information on colors. I would also love to see the interior, hopefully they added a console. I’m going to put my down payment to get on the list. Hopefully I can get a radio with Sirius.
looks great! scared of the engine though… 1.2 liter 3 cylinder engine 137 hp on a 4145 pound vehicle
This vehicle looks like it will be a home run for us. Great look, great options and safety. The meager powerplant is a bit of a disappointment. It is underpowered in the Trailblazer and the Trax is even bigger. We are in such a hurry to get green we are seeing the transformation of the automobile from a personal statement or icon that induces an emotional response to nothing more than an appliance….looks really nice but doesn’t do anything exciting. Its sad.
In china it has 1.5T version and named seeker。
Did they fix all the electronic and engine overheating issues that plagued the 2015 model year? I have a 2015, and the body control module, AWD wiring harness failed, water pump and thermostat all failed. AWD STILL doesn’t work properly
